Mrs. Georgeann Clark, 76, of 221 Oakhill Road, Petersburg, departed this life on Friday, April 25, 2014, at her residence after a long illness. Georgeann was born on Dec. 7, 1936, in Wellsville, Ohio, to the late George Hudson Harris and Beatrice Hodnett Harris McCuen.

Georgeann married James B. Clark, Oct. 8, 1960, to that union they have one daughter. They shared a blissful marriage of 53 years and 27 of those years were with the United States Army, where they traveled to many, many countries. Mrs. Clark retired from Jackson Circle, Fort Lee, as a shift supervisor.
She accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age and became a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church. She was a member of ABWA Appomattox Chapter, Star Hope Chapter #164 OESPHA. She also volunteered for the Girl Scouts, social services, American Red Cross, and other organizations.
She was preceded in death by her a brother, Forest Harris.
Georgeann leaves to cherish her memory: her husband, James; daughter, Belinda at the home; one granddaughter, Kryria; two sisters, Olivia McCuen of Atlanta, Ga., and Patricia Gibson of Wellsville, Ohio; brothers, Morris McCuen of Midland, Penn., and Milton Wolfe of Wellsville, Ohio; and a host of nieces; nephews; other relatives; and friends.
Services for Mrs. Georgeann Clark will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 7, 2014, at Tabernacle Baptist Church, 418 Halifax St., Petersburg, the Rev. Dr. Robert A. Diggs Sr., pastor, eulogist.
