Bro. Charles H. Jarrett passed into eternal glory on Saturday, July 12, 2014, at his residence in Petersburg, Va. Charles was born on March 26, 1937, in Woodburn, Ky., and lived many years in Pittsburgh, Pa., before moving to Petersburg, Va.

He was a member of Crater View Baptist Church, Petersburg. His passing will be greatly mourned by all who knew him and loved him.
Preceding him in death was a sister-in-law, Betty Jarrett.
He leaves to mourn his loss: his wife of 35 years, Ruth E. Jarrett. Also surviving are three children, Tracy (Jayson), Charles Jr. (Melanihe) and Greg (Jessica); 14 grandchildren, Jaycee, Taylor, Jeremy, Christopher, Justin, Keira, Calvin, Nachelle, Danielle, Joudan, Alize, Daunte, and Devan; brothers, Julius Jarrett (Daisy), Jesse Jarrett (Brenda), James Jarrett and Marshall Jarrett; sisters, Betty Moore (Lynell) and Margaret Gray (Jimmy), and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and his church family.
Services for Mr. Charles H. Jarrett will be held 1 p.m., Thursday, July 17, 2014, at Crater View Baptist Church, 626 Graham Road, Petersburg, Va., Pastor Elvis "Raz" Stephens, eulogist. Interment will be private.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. the day of services at the church.
