Emmett Burton III went to be with the Lord on Sunday, Aug. 3, 2014.

He was born May 9, 1960, to the late Emmett Burton Jr., and Gladys Emma Brewer from Henrico, Va. Emmett was a retired employee of Phillip Morris and a current employee of Leete Tire and Auto as a tow truck driver in Petersburg, Va.

Left here on Earth to cherish his memories, his one and only love of his life, Joy Lynne Burton, his wife of 30 years, and his only son, Emmett Burton IV ("EJ"); his beloved dogs, Mac Arthur and Seabow. Emmett was a husband, father and a friend who will truly forever be missed by all who knew and loved him.

A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 8, 2014, at J.T. Morriss and Son Funeral Home in Petersburg, Va., with a tow truck procession which will proceed past the accident site and end at Leete Tire and Auto at 300 N. Crater Road in Petersburg, Va.
