"I fought a good a fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord the righteous judge, shall give at the day: and not to me only, but unto all them that love his appearing." 2 Timothy 4:6-7

Mr. Giovanni K. Grandison, 37, was called from labor to reward on Wednesday evening, Aug. 20, 2014, at the Southside Regional Medical Center, Petersburg, Va., surrounded by his family.

Giovanni was known as "Geo" or "Vonni" by close family and friends. He was a devoted son, nephew, cousin, godbrother and friend. He believed in family values, and he was a man of great "Courage, Strength and Wisdom." Even in his last hour he gain strength as he quoted the word of God, "Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy path." Shortly after, he shut his eyes and fell asleep in the arms of father Jesus the Christ.
