It is not our purpose to question God, nor to fully understand the mysteries of His providence, but to continue to put our faith and trust in Him as His divine will. It is with this testament of assurance that we sadly bid farewell to our most beloved, Mr. Charles David Moore, also known as, "Triple D" of 400 Mars Street, Apartment 12-C, Petersburg, Va., who departed this life on Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2011.

He was born Sept. 24, 1966, in Richmond, Va., to James O. Moore II and Alice B. Moore. He was preceded in death by his father, James O. Moore II; brother, James O. Moore III; sister, Tawanda Robertson; grandparents, James O. Moore Sr. and Jeanette Moore and Mary H. Williams.

Triple D leaves to cherish his memory, four sons, Charles David Wells (Breanne) of West Virginia, Chimartrel, Hakiem, and Cordarus Wells both of Petersburg, Va.; two daughters, Chiquita and Chinika Wells both of Petersburg, Va.; seven grandchildren, Charles D. Wells Jr. and Carsen Wells, both of West Virginia, Lauren, Cordarus, Kimara, Jacori Wells and Mikayla Griffin all of Petersburg, Va.; a devoted mother, Alice G. Moore (Robert Turner) of Prince George, Va.; a brother, Michael Moore (Linda); three sisters, Katherine Moore (Randell) and Angela Moore-Reed (Donald) both of Petersburg, Va., and Alice D. Moore of Hopewell, Va.; five aunts, Katherine Mitchell (Mitch), Shirley Williams, Ellen Briggs, Mary Coleman and Anne Bell Moore all of Petersburg, Va.; six uncles, John Fells, Arthur Williams, Leon Williams (Martha), Milton C. Williams, Franklin Williams and James Williams (Alfreda) all of Petersburg, Va.; four nieces, Ashley Moore of Hopewell, Va., Tawanda, Tierra and Tequanne Moore of Petersburg, Va.; four nephews, Glenn, Keith and Jacorey Moore and Michael Davis all of Petersburg, Va.; devoted friends, Vicky Kathy and Tinisha Chavis; the mother of his children, Ellen Wells and host of great nieces and great nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 4 p.m., Monday, Sept. 19, 2011 at the Chapel of J. M. Wilkerson Funeral Establishment Inc., 102 South Ave., Petersburg, Va., Minister Judy Reese, eulogist.

The family will receive friends at 2028 Whitehill Drive, Petersburg, Va.
