JEFFREY GILLIAM Obituary
He accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at the Olive Branch Baptist Church. He graduated from Petersburg High School, class of 1988. After attending barber school, he became a licensed barber for over 20 years. He was employed at Barbara's Beauty Salon, Petersburg, Va.
Jeffrey was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, George and Rosena Walker and paternal grandparents, Darcy and Merlie Gilliam.
He is survived by his wife, Felicia Sutton Gilliam, two daughters, Arielle and Gianna
Gilliam, mother, Estelle W. Gant; father, Jacob A. Gilliam, all of Petersburg, Va.; one brother, Kim A. Gilliam of Petersburg, Va.; in-laws, Joyce and Bob Reed of Chesapeake, Va.; three aunts, Mary L. Parham (Daniel) of South Chesterfield, Va., Elsie M. Browder and Barby J. Roney, both of Petersburg, Va.; one uncle, Darcy I. Gilliam of Silver Springs, Md.; one great-uncle and several great-aunts; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, devoted friends and his Philadelphia family.
A funeral service for Mr. Jeffrey D. Gilliam will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013, at Olive Branch Baptist Church, 11119 Boydton Plank Road, Dinwiddie, Va., the Rev. Kevin Northam, pastor, eulogist. The interment to follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 22, 2013, at the funeral establishment.
The family will also receive friends at 329 North Park Drive, Petersburg, Va., and may be contacted by calling 804-733-5952.

When I first herd of Jeff's passing I didn't want to believe it. He was my husbands only barber when he moved up from Georgia nd then became our sons's first barber which Jeff nicknamed him spud because of his height! Lol.... Nd that's what I'm goin to miss most about him...his infectuous smile nd all around comforting attitude! I haven't known you long Jeff...but in the seven years I have known you...you have made me feel as if we have known each other forever! And because of that the memory of you will be held close to my heart! Not even knowing that Bop was your brother this whole time..smh! Six degrees of separation is really no joke! RIP....to a very nice guy!
