She was born Sept. 3, 1962, to Annette Alease Coleman Brown and the late Philip Arnold Coleman Jr. She was educated in the Petersburg Public School System.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Philip and Carrie Coleman Sr., John and Beatrice Brown, Robert and Lillian Tomes; stepfather, Alvin W. Brown; two aunts, Ernestine Hester, Otelia Barboza; and one uncle, Robert Tomes.
Kim leaves to cherish her memories her mother, Annette A. Coleman; brother, Philip A. Coleman III (Patricia) of New York City; one niece, Philicia Coleman of New York; and a host of aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends, among them three devoted, Rene Golightly, Marcus Johnson and Bernadette Hite.
A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 28, 2013, at the Chapel of J M. Wilkerson Funeral Establishment Inc., 102 South Ave., Petersburg, Va.; the Rev. Merle King, eulogist. Interment to follow at Wilkerson Memorial Cemetery.
