On Sunday, April 21, 2013, at 8:40 a.m., God in his infinite wisdom called home his child, Ms. Cecelia Ann Merritt Heath. Cecelia, "Cee Cee" as she was affectionately called, was born on Dec. 19, 1954, to Charlie and Minnie Merritt in Dawson, Ga.

Cecelia was preceded in death by: her father, Charlie Merritt; maternal grandmother, Mary C. Williams; a brother, Joseph L. Salter; and sister, Willie Ruth Salter.

Cee Cee graduated from Petersburg High School in 1973. She worked in the mental health field for over 20 years having worked at: Central State Hospital, Poplar Springs, Chesterfield County Department of Mental Health, Mental Retardation, and Substance Abuse Services and District 19. She received numerous awards and recognition throughout her professional career.

Cee Cee accepted Christ at an early age as a member of Sardis Baptist Church in Dawson, Ga. She became a faithful member of Calvary Temple Church of Our Lord Jesus of the Apostolic Faith, Inc. in 1970, where she received the Holy Ghost and baptized in Jesus name. In 2000, she became a member of Faith Temple Church (PAW) where she served in many roles. Her favorite scripture was Psalm 34:8 "Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good..." Cee Cee was loved by many and will be truly missed.

She leaves to cherish her memory: a loving and devoted son, Terrell Heath; loving and devoted daughter, NaTasha Heath; two grandchildren, Terrell Jr. and Terrain Heath of Norfolk; loving and devoted mother, Minnie L. Merritt; ex-husband, Norman Heath; sister, Kathy Merritt of Petersburg; brother, Bobby Salter of Dinwiddie; nieces, Nicole Salter-Morse and Tonia Salter of Hopewell, Laticia and LeChele Salter of Chesterfield, Qiana Merritt of Petersburg; nephew, Quan Merritt of Petersburg; devoted friends, India Reeves, Arlene Moore, May Preato; and host of other relatives; and friends.

A funeral service for Ms. Cecelia A. Health will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, April 26, 2013, at Calvary Temple Church of Lord Jesus Christ, 110 N. Dunlop, Petersburg, Suffragan Bishop Damar Jackson, eulogist. The interment to follow at Southlawn Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m., Thursday, April 25, 2013, at the funeral establishment. The family will also receive friends at 300 Addison Way, Petersburg.
