JERRY TAZEWELL SR. Obituary
Jerry was born April 20, 1948, in Petersburg, Va., to Susie Tazewell Forbes. He attended the Dinwiddie County Public School System. Jerry was employed for many years with Adam construction.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Charlotte Tazewell; children, Michael Giles (Marcietta) of Petersburg, Troy Tazewell of Stony Creek, Cory Leon Tazewell (Shaneik) of Jarratt, and Jerry Tazewell Jr. (Jessica) of Petersburg; grandchildren, Shaquille Tazewell, Shakori Tazewell, Troy Tazewell Jr., Tyrese Tazewell, Jaheim Tazewell, Jaymarey L. Tazewell, and Courtney Tazewell; siblings, Camilla Morris of Hopewell, Thomasine Riley of Upper Marlboro, Md., Larry Forbes of Carson, Gary Forbes and Lewis Forbes, both of Petersburg, and Dennis Forbes of Jacksonville, Fla.; mother and father-in-law, Sarah and Robert Atkins of Dinwiddie; good friend, Alton Mason; devoted friend, Janet Parham; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Services for Mr. Jerry Tazewell Sr. will be held 11 a.m. Monday, June 8, 2015, at the Chapel of J. M. Wilkerson Funeral Establishment Inc., 102 South Avenue, Petersburg, Va., Rev. Linda Skipper, eulogist. Interment to follow at the Rising Mount Zion Baptist Church, Carson, Va.
The family will assemble 10 a.m. the day of the service and receive friends at 133 Horseshoe Road, Jarratt, Va.

To all of you in the Tazewell family, may God's grace help your healing in this time of loss. I will always remember Mr. Tazewell's smile and wave as I passed by your home. You children were the joy and light of his life. His kindness and friendly ways were always a tribute to his life and the way he wished his children to see the world.
