DAVID SAMPLE Obituary
David retired from Partin Oil Company. He was a happy go lucky person who loved to laugh. Although he had no children, he truly loved his family. David loved listening to gospel music and dancing.
David is survived by his sisters, Patricia Heath of Chesterfield and Rose Mary James (Wilbert) of Hopewell; brothers, Leroy Sample (Sharon) of Hopewell, Wilson Sample (Faith) of Sussex and William Sample (Luncinda) of Ettrick. David also leaves behind his companion, Patricia Quickly; a devoted friend, Johana Jackson; god-daughters, Vanessa Graves, Joann Truly, Celestine Rashed, Catherine Bethune and Florence Jackson; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The family would like to thank the staff of Southside Regional Medical Center, Johnston-Willis Medical Center and everyone who assisted us with sending him to his final resting place.
Services for Mr. David L. Sample will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, June 24, 2016, at the Chapel of J.M. Wilkerson Funeral Establishment, Inc., 102 South Avenue, Petersburg, Va., Pastor Michael Wyche, eulogist. Interment to follow at Wilkerson Memorial Cemetery.

Its been three years since u left me pappy and I still feel saddened in my heart . U love much and love came back. God saw fit to take u away but in my heart u will always stay till the day I die.
