Mrs. Benoit was one of those rare teachers of my early days in school who actually cared about her students and made school somewhat pleasurable...
Kind, sweet and pretty, she may have been my first crush.
Rest In Peace Mrs. Benoit

She was my 2nd grade teacher at the now defunct Thurber Avenue School back in the 50s and was most devoted to her task of teaching hundreds if not thousands of little children their ABCs. Thanks Ms. Benoit !
