CARDILLO, JOHN S., 90, of North Providence, died September 4, 2013 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of the late Leona A. (Sparadeo) Cardillo. Born in Cranston,RI, he was a son of the late Marino and Bessie (Storti) Cardillo. John had worked in the jewelry industry for many years before retiring. He was an Army veteran of WWII. He was a member of the Centredale Fire Department and an avid NY Yankees fan. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family and friends. He leaves two daughters, Sandra A. Ricci and her husband Dennis of Cranston and Donna M. Anzelone of Smithfield and two grandchildren, Jared Anzelone of Bellingham, MA and Brendan Anzelone of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, and many nieces and nephews. He was brother of the late Carlo LaGreca, Joseph, Pasco, Vincent, and Marino Cardillo, Lena Sabetta, Angie D'Arezzo, and Claire Martin. His funeral will be held Monday, September 9th at 9 am from the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in Mary, Mother of Mankind Church, 25 Fourth St. North Providence, RI. Burial with military honors will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Calling hours are Sunday, September 8th 5-8 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.

Uncle Jake was loved by all of us and we were so lucky to have had him in our lives for so long. I have such wonderful memories of him from when I was a young child to now. So blessed to have had him in my life. I attached a picture of him from Christmas Eve. We will miss him greatly!
