ROSA, MANUEL F. 90, of Wickenden St., died peacefully Apr. 5, 2013 at the Phillip Hulitar Hospice. He was the beloved husband of Flora (Silva) Rosa. Born July 14, 1922 in Middletown, he was a son of the late Thomas Rosa and Maria Silveira Furtado. Mr. Rosa was a WWII Army veteran. In addition to his wife of 66 years, he leaves his children, Judith Amaral of Providence, Manuel F. Rosa Jr. of Bethlehem, NH, Robert J. Rosa of Providence and Stephen M. Rosa of Rumford; 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He was brother of Maria Silva of East Providence and of the late Thomas F. Rosa Jr. His funeral will begin Monday at 8:45am from the REBELLO FUNERAL HOME, 901 Broadway, East Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, Traverse St., Providence. Burial with military honors will follow at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours will be Sunday, 4-8pm. www.rebellofuneralhome.com

So sad to hear the news...He was one of the finest and funny person I met at Bethany Home. He always made me laugh, he was so lucky to have such a devoted and loving family, of course you were all lucky to hve him. It ws such a pleasure to meet all of you, may he rest in peace.
