Dear Family,

Although I only knew Caitlyn in passing during our time at La Salle, I can not get over the fact that she is gone. She was so beautiful, and had such a positive and bright soul. Me feeling this, and barely having known her, I can't even begin to imagine how you feel. One thing I think of must be true is that life is so precious, and for it to be so easily extinguished, there has to be more to it. Although we will never see her again in waking life, she will truly live in our hearts forever, and that may be more valuable than anything. My thoughts and prayers are with your family.

Dearest Marissa and the entire Adler family,
I did not have the pleasure of meeting beautiful caitlin, but having known Marissa for quite sometime I know that any product of the Adler family is exceptional...what a beautiful family. Just The fact that she passed while volunteering her time to the less fortunate is absolutely touching, and having to wait in line for 2 hours to pay my respects was unlike anything I have ever seen, flowers and pictures everywhere. Most people can live for 100 years and not do a quarter of the amazing things that Caitlin has done and will continue to do from heaven. This tragedy is proof that God only takes the best. I have not stopped thinking about all of you since I heard the terrible news. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
Marissa, I love you and am here for you anytime day or night.

My deepest sympathy goes to the Adler Family & David in your time of need. There has not been a day yet an hour she hasn’t crossed my mind. I couldn’t even bring myself to go to the wake last night, I’m so sorry. I’m still in disbelief that this would happen to such a wonderful person. I was there on that Special Olympics run. I saw her that night, but I didn’t speak with her. Something I am afraid I will regret for the rest of my life. God has greater plans for Caitlyn as a guardian angel. May her light shine down on you and your memories help you find peace in your heart and mind. She will never be forgotten she lives within all of our hearts.

To Caitlyn's family and friends. I have never met Caitlyn, nor have I ever met any family members or friends. I heard about this tragic accident when I was reading the news. 2 1/2 years ago I lost my best friend (who was also my sister-in-law)...only 35 years old. She was killed in a motorcycle accident as well. My heart broke into million of pieces when I was reading the story about Caitlyn. I know, that words will not change the fact that god took her from you and words will also not bring her back, but please try to be strong and make sure that you will always keep her in your heart and your memories. No matter where you go and no matter what you do, she will be right there with you...guiding you through this difficult time, holding your hand to show you where to go. My thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends.

To the entire Adler Family,
I am so sorry for the loss of your beautiful daughter Caitlyn. Eileen you don't really know me but I am the one who took over your job at the deli at SHS you trained me for about a week. I lost my nephew in 2004 at the age of 20 to a motorcycle accident, so I think the loss of your beautiful Caitlyn affects me in a special way. I must say I cried when I heard the news of her death...even though I do not know you well or have never met Caitlyn I cried. I think that Caitlyn's accident has affected all that live in the Smithfield/Greenville community. And as parents of teens and young adults our hearts break for you and your family. I pray for all of you every night and ask that the Lord help you to get through this difficult time. I will keep you all in my prayers. Rest in Peace Caitlyn.

I pray that Caitlin's brief life and all that she has meant to you, will become the more defining element of who you will become as a family. May God bless you in your time of need.
