Santos, Alice - Seekonk  
SANTOS, ALICE L. (ANDRADE) of Arcade Ave., Seekonk, died peacefully on Christmas Day at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center. She was the wife of the late John Santos. Born June 28, 1918, in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Manuel and Beatrice (Almeida) Andrade. Alice was a communicant of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church. She was an Avon representative for 66 years and worked as a cook at the Seekonk School Dept. for 40 years. She was also a member and former vice president of the East Providence Business Women's Professional Club, the Barrington Women's Club, the American School Food Service Assn. and had volunteered at Health Haven Nursing Home. She leaves her sons and daughters-in-law, Joseph R. and Peggy Santos of Seekonk and Richard J. and Robin Santos of Rehoboth; 4 grandchildren, Barry, Melissa, Jonathan and Adam; and her 9 great grandchildren, Joey, Lynn, Elizabeth, Tanya, Emma, Coral, Maxxon, Helaina and Rylan. She also was the sister of Eleanor Ferreira of East Providence, Alfred Andrade of Bristol, Anthony Andrade of Riverside, the late Charles Andrade and the late Manuel Andrade. Her funeral will begin Tuesday at 8:45am from the Rebello Funeral Home and Crematory, 901 Broadway, East Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Taunton Ave., Seekonk. Burial will follow at the Mt. St. Mary Cemetery. Calling hours will be Monday, 4pm until 8pm. SHERBURNE, DOROTHY M., (MAHAR), 92, passed away Sunday, December 21, 2014 at Home & Hospice Care of RI. She was the beloved wife of Robert L. Sherburne, Jr. for 67 years and a daughter of the late Thomas and Agnes (Sharpe) Mahar; mother of Robert L. Sherburne, III, Michael T. Sherburne, Deborah Turillo and the late John C. Sherburne; sister of Mary Lou Croft and the late Thomas, James and Barbara Mahar. She is also survived by her six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Funeral Wednesday, December 24, at 9:15 am from the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave. with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Peter Church, Fair Street at 10 am. SILLS, PATRICIA, 55, of Smith St., died December 16th at R.I. Hospital. She leaves a daughter: Lauren Ting and her husband John, her mother Grace Sills and brothers Marvin & Thomas Sills. Simoneau, Brian - Lincoln  
SIMONEAU, BRIAN R. 41, of Lincoln, died Wednesday. Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of Pauline A. (Berard) Simoneau of Lincoln and the late Roger A. Simoneau. He is also survived by his brother, David R. Simoneau and his wife Kathleen of Douglas, MA; his sister Kristen S. Hogan and her husband Shawn of Cumberland; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. His funeral will be held on Monday at 8:45 am from the Lincoln Funeral Home, 1501 Lonsdale Ave., Lincoln followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. John Vianney Church, Diamond Hill Rd., Cumberland. Stein, Alvin - Barrington  
STEIN, ALVIN 89, passed away December 20, 2014. He was the husband of the late Rita (Malmet) Stein. Born in New York City, a son of the late Jacob and Beckie (Spielman) Stein, he had been a resident of Barrington for 44 years. Dr. Stein was a graduate of Brooklyn Polytechnic Institute with a PhD in organic chemistry. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII and was a member of Temple Habonim. He is survived by his children, Jeffrey Stein and his wife Eve Colson of Woodbridge, CT and Shari Stein of Greenwich, CT; and his grandchildren Rebekah, Joseph and Sarah. Funeral services will be held Monday, December 22nd at 10 AM at Temple Habonim, 165 New Meadow Rd, Barrington, with burial in Forest Chapel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to Barrington Public Library Corp, 281 County Rd., Barrington, RI 02806, Attn: Library Director.
