Decarvalho, Maria - East Providence  
DeCARVALHO, MARIA P. 86, of City View Avenue passed away Tuesday September 20, 2016 at the Evergreen House Health Center. She was the wife of the late Raul P. DeCarvalho. Born in Villa Pouca, Portugal she was a daughter of the late Francisco and Laurantine Rego. Mrs. DeCarvalho worked for Fleet National Bank before retiring. She was a communicant of St. Martha's Church. She leaves two daughters, Cheryl Smith and Maria Silva both of Cranston, five sons, Sergio DeCarvalho of East Providence, Lee DeCarvalho of Pawtucket, Orlando "Al" DeCarvalho of North Providence, Paul DeCarvalho of East Providence and David DeCarvalho of Hope, RI, one sister, Felisbina Rego, three brothers, Louis, Francisco and Serafim Rego, seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Her funeral will be held on Saturday at 8:00 AM from the PERRY-MCSTAY FUNERAL HOME, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 AM in St. Martha's Church, Pawtucket Avenue. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours Friday 4-8. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Hope Hospice and Palliative Care Center, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904.

DeCOSTA, Patricia - East Providence  
DeCOSTA, PATRICIA A. 72, of Wayland Street passed away on Monday September 19, 2016 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center. She was the wife of Robert DeCosta. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Martin and Doris (Boucher) Kenney. Mrs. DeCosta was a telephone operator for the former New England Telephone Company before she retired. Besides her husband she leaves two sons, Gary DeCosta and Martin DeCosta both of East Providence, three sisters, Carol Ayles of Vermont, Joan Daignault of New York and Shirley Jolly of Woonsocket, one grandchild, and four step grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Barbara Shaw. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 11:00 AM in Saint Patrick's Church, 45 Main Street, Harrisville, RI. Burial will be in Saint Patrick's Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 5-8 pm in the PERRY-MCSTAY FUNERAL HOME, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence. DeCOTIS, ANTONINA S. "ANNA" (SALVO) 94, of Sebastian, FL, formerly of Smithfield, died on September 20, 2016 at Samaritan Inpatient Unit Hospice in Mount Holly, NJ in the devoted care of her family. She was the loving wife of the late Giovanni "John" DeCotis for 70 years. She was the mother of Ann Babij (Ray), John DeCotis, Carol Lambert (Paul), and Linda Boiselle (Ron), and cherished grandmother of 7 and great-grandmother of 9. She was predeceased by her parents, Salvatore and Antonina (Lucca) Salvo, and her siblings, Mary Messore, Helen Fulco, Anthony, Joseph, Nicholas, and Josephine Salvo. Visitation will be held Saturday, September 24, 2016 from 8:30-9:30 am in the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Michael Church, 80 Farnum Pike, Smithfield. DeSANTIS, FLAVIA (DelVECCHIO) 93, of Deirdra Court, passed away at Kent Hospital surrounded by her loving family on Friday, September 16, 2016. She was the wife of the late Anthony F. DeSantis. Born in Italy, she was a daughter of the late Giovanni and Christina (Iannolfo) DelVecchio. Flavia was employed for over 20 years at the former Victoria Creations Jewelry Co., before retiring in 1994. She previously worked at the former Imperial Knife Co. Flavia enjoyed being a grandmother, baking; especially wine biscuits, and gardening. Flavia was the mother of Barbara J. Beer and her husband Robert of Warwick. Flavia had an integral part in raising her two grandchildren Robert A. Beer II and Alexa S. Beer. She was the sister of Fortunato DelVecchio of Providence. Flavia was predeceased by five other siblings. Flavia is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Her Funeral will be Thursday, September 22, 2016 at 8:45 am from the IANNOTTI Funeral Home, 415 Washington St., (Rte.117) Coventry, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Kevin's Church, 333 Sandy Lane, Warwick. Di SANDRO, Michael - Johnston  
Di SANDRO, MICHAEL, JR. 75, of Johnston, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 19, 2016 at Philip Hulitar Hospice Inpatient Center in Providence surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of fifty-five years to the late Nicolina D. (Colagiovanni) Di Sandro who predeceased him on June 24, 2015. Born in Pawtucket, he was a son of the late Michael and Elizabeth (Ritoda) Di Sandro. Michael, along with his wife were the former owners of M. Di Sandro & Sons Masonry Inc. of Cranston for twenty years before their retirement. He was the Head Coach of the Johnston Bantam National Championship Hockey Team in 1981. He was a former member of the Bricklayers Union; former member of Warwick Country Club; and a member of Kingsway Country Club in Lake Suzy, FL. During his retirement, he continued to work for his son's company, M. Di Sandro and Sons Masonry, Inc. He used his gift of craftsmanship and created many extraordinary architectural masonry projects for family and friends. He also enjoyed making wine and especially spending time with his adoring grandchildren. He is survived by his loving children, Michael Di Sandro, III and his wife Mary of Rumford, Robert Michael Di Sandro and his wife Kara of Providence and Karen Elizabeth Di Sandro of Providence. He was the cherished grandfather of Sarah, Elizabeth, Warren, Nathan, Grayson and Rose; and brother of Domenic Di Sandro of North Providence and Marie De Rienzo of Bedminster, NJ. Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Friday at 8:45 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Robert Bellarmine Church, 1804 Atwood Ave., Johnston. DIAS, DOMINGOS ESTRELA 67, of Julien Ave., East Providence, passed away surrounded by his family early Sunday morning, Sept. 18, 2016 at the RI Hospital. He was the husband of Eduarda Santos Dias. Born Sept. 4, 1949, in Rabo de Peixe, Sao Miguel, Azores, he was the son of the late Domingos Dias and Cristina Estrela. He was the proud owner of D & D Model Cleaning and Casting Inc. for 36 years. In addition to his wife of 44 years, he leaves his children, Mary Ann Moniz and her husband Joseph of Riverside, Steven Dias and his wife Carla of Riverside, Domenic Dias of East Providence, and Donna Martins and her husband Mike of Riverside; his 9 grandchildren, Alyssa, Erica, Ashley, Vanessa and Kailey Dias, Ryan and Mason Moniz, and Dylan and Tessa Martins; and his sisters, Beatriz Ferreira of Providence and Maria Couto of East Providence. His funeral will begin Wednesday, Sept. 21, at 8:45am from the Rebello Funeral Home and Crematory, 901 Broadway, East Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, Traverse St., Providence. DOLAN, MARY E. 88, of Cumberland, passed away peacefully, Monday, September 19, 2016. She was the wife of the late William M. Dolan Jr. Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late John and Ellen (Whalen) Mulligan. Mary was a School Teacher in the Woonsocket School Department for many years before retiring in 1989. She is survived by her children, Katherine Sipala and her husband, Michael, Ellen Stegeman and her husband, Robert, and William Dolan III and his wife, Jean, eight grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Anna Feely, Margaret McNamara, Frances Duff, and Richard Mulligan. The funeral will be held Friday at 9AM from the O'Neill Funeral Home, 3102 Mendon Road, Cumberland, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10AM in Saint John Vianney Church, 3609 Diamond Hill Road, Cumberland. Mrs. Dorosko was a secretary to the Dean of Engineering of U.R.I. until her retirement. She was a member of North Scituate Baptist Church. She was the loving mother of Gregory P. Dorosko and his wife Fernanda of Cranston and Stephanie Dorosko of Quechee, VT. Caring sister of Lawrence Very, Philip Very, Janice Very-Creamer, Martha Balgord and the late Frederick Very.
