Kelleher, Stephen - East Providence  
KELLEHER, STEPHEN E. 64, of Rumford, passed away at home on Friday, May 15, 2015, after courageously battling a long illness. He was the beloved husband of Mary Beth (Flynn) Kelleher for 40 years. He was born in Providence on May 13, 1951 to the late John F. Kelleher and Mildred E. (Parker) Kelleher. He was predeceased by his infant son, Niall Kelleher. He is survived by his devoted daughters: Erin E. Kelleher and her husband Tarec Alio of Frankfurt, Germany; Caitlin F. Kelleher of North Providence; and Meghan M. Kelleher of Rumford. He was the adoring Opa to his granddaughter, Lara Elizabeth Alio. He also leaves behind his beloved brother, James E. Kelleher and his wife Gail. Steve was the consummate family man, treasured brother-in-law, beloved uncle to many cherished nieces and nephews, and true friend and neighbor. He attended graduate school at the University of Rhode Island, where he also received his B.S. in Geology and Paleontology in 1974, and was a brother of the Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity. While at URI, he met his future wife Mary Beth on her very first day of college, and from that moment on they were inseparable. Steve was the founder and owner of Rumford Paper Products for over 20 years. Prior to this, he was an expert businessman and consultant in his field, and held a U.S. patent for a recycled paper product of his own design. He was also a man of many interests and hobbies, including gardening, cooking, science, history (particularly his Irish heritage), and fondly caring for his pets. He was a lover of science fiction, of all music from 80's metal to show tunes, and an avid Boston sports fan until the very end. He shared his passion for athletics with his daughters and the community by coaching Rumford Little League softball for 16 years. Above all he will be remembered for his joyful nature and hilarious sense of humor. His funeral will be held Thursday at 9 a.m. from the CHEETHAM Funeral Home, 1012 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Margaret Church, 1098 Pawtucket Ave., Rumford. Interment will follow at Mt. St. Mary Cemetery, Pawtucket. Kelley, Michael - West Warwick  
KELLEY, MICHAEL F. age 71 of West Warwick, passed away with his loving family by his side Sunday at Alpine Nursing Home, Inc., Coventry, RI. Born in Warwick, RI, he was the son of the late Edward E. and the late Agnes (Brindamour) Kelley. He was the beloved husband to Judith S. (Pepin) Kelley; they were married for forty-nine years. Michael was a graduate of Providence College, where he earned his Master's in Education, specifically Mathematics. He was a beloved teacher and coach to many at West Warwick High School, Bishop McVinny Catholic School as well as Bishop Hendricken High School. Besides his beloved wife, he also leaves his three daughters: Kristin D'Ambrosca and her husband Alfred, Melissa Kelley, and Courtney Silva and her huband Daniel. He was also the loving grandfather to Greggory D'Ambrosca, Andrew D'Ambrosca, Jillian D'Ambrosca, Jake Downey and Logan Downey Calling hours are Friday, May 22, 2015 from 4:00-7:00 PM at Carpenter-Jenks Funeral Home & Crematory, 659 East Greenwich Avenue, West Warwick, RI. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, May 23, 2015 at 10 AM in St. Gregory the Great Church, 360 Cowesett Road, Warwick. Everyone is asked to go directly to church. Kennedy, Ronald - Ashaway  
KENNEDY, RONALD of Ashaway passed away in the hospice unit of South County Hospital on Tuesday May 19, 2015, surrounded by his loving family, after a decades-long courageous battle with cancer. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 56-years Jeanette Katherine Kennedy, who passed away on December 13, 2014. He was the loving father of four children, Kevin John Kennedy (his wife Janet), Rep. Brian Patrick Kennedy, Tracey Anne Kennedy (her husband Ronald), and Erin Beth Celico (her husband Robert). There are no calling hours. A Memorial service will be held at Our Lady of Victory Roman Catholic Church, 169 Main Street, Ashaway, RI 02804 on Friday May 29, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. Burial will be private. Kennedy, Rose - Warwick  
KENNEDY, ROSE M. (MITCHRONEY) age 75, of Proctor Avenue, Warwick, died unexpectedly at home on Friday, May 22, 2015. She was the wife of Patrick A. Kennedy, and the mother of the late David P. Kennedy. Born in Providence, a daughter of the late John A. and Rose M. (Puriello) Mitchroney, she lived in Warwick since 1968. As a young woman, she was a novice with the Sisters of Our Lady of Providence. Mrs. Kennedy was employed at the Phillips Memorial Library at Providence College for over 25 years, retiring 4 years ago. During the early 1960's, she worked at the Providence Public Library. A licensed massage therapist, she was a 1994 graduate of the Benjamin School of Massage. She served as a first responder for the City of Warwick. Rose was a communicant of St. Peter Church in Warwick, and had served as a Eucharistic minister. In addition to her husband, she leaves two sisters-in-law, Michaela Kennedy Rowlett and Mary E. Mitchroney; three nieces, Cathy St. Jean, Bernice Bonadie, and Sheila Capobianco; and a nephew, Steven Mitchroney. She was the sister of the late Domenic M. Mitchroney and Santella M. Degnan. Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, May 26, at 9 a.m. from the Barrett & Cotter Funeral Home, 1328 Warwick Avenue, Spring Green, Warwick, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Peter Church, 350 Fair Street, Warwick. Visiting hours will be on Monday from 4-7 p.m. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket. KENNEDY, SANDRA A. (HERRMANN) 44, of Warwick, died Sunday, May 17, 2015 at RI Hospital. She was the loving wife of Michael T. Kennedy. Born in Panama City, FL, she was a daughter of Charles Herrmann of South Carolina and Ruth Rigby of Massachusetts. Mrs. Kennedy worked as a cashier at Stop & Shop in Meadowbrook and formerly worked for J.C. Penney and Apex, Inc. Besides her husband and parents, she leaves her loving son, Richard C. Kennedy of Warwick. She was the sister of Charles Herrmann of Florida and the step-sister of Rachel Fraser of Massachusetts. Kerns, Marie - Barrington  
KERNS, MARIE, E., (MCDONNELL), 88, of Atria Bay Spring, Bay Spring Avenue, died peacefully on May 18, 2015 surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Samuel J. Kerns Jr. Born in Lawrence, MA, a daughter of the late Joseph J. and Mary (Driscoll) McDonnell, she lived in Barrington for 28 years and North Farm, Bristol for 16 years. Mrs. Kerns was a communicant of St. Luke Church. She was the former treasurer of St. Luke Parish Outreach and a member of the Young at Heart Club. Marie was a volunteer for the Barrington Tap-In Program. She enjoyed reading, knitting, sewing and traveling. Besides her husband of 64 years, she is survived by two daughters, Kathleen M. Kerns and her husband Joseph Sullivan of West Virginia and Margaret A. Mailloux and her husband Charles of Barrington; two sons, Timothy J. Kerns and his wife Margaret of Laconia, NH and Robert S. Kerns and his wife Maura Keenan of Belmont, MA; nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She was the grandmother of the late Samuel J. Kerns. Calling hours will be held on Thursday May 21, 2015 in the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside from 5-8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday May 22, 2015 in St. Luke Church, Washington Road, Barrington at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. KIRKWOOD, MARGARET (PEGGY) NEE DECUBELLIS, fortified with the sacraments of Holy Mother Church, left her loving family on May, 17, 2015. Dear wife of the late George Kirkwood. Cherished mother of Karen Clark (Larry Kroupa), David (Jackie) Kirkwood and Judy Kirkwood (Joanne Curtis). Loving grandmother of Brian Senger (Rebecca) and Kevin Senger (Angela). Great-grandmother of BJ Senger, Savannah Senger and Jon Meyer. Dear Aunt and best friend to many. Dear sister of Mary Gormly, and late brothers, Louis , Albert, Domenic, Steve, Julio, and Joseph DeCubellis, and sisters, Jennie Lombardo, Betty Catalano, and Helen Pecunioso. Born in Providence, Rhode Island, moved to St. Louis, Mo in 1964. Worked at Orchard Corporation then later Borden and retired at the age of 70 from full time employment. She loved her church, volunteering, and rooting for her beloved St. Louis Cardinals. Peggy donated her body to St. Louis University School of Medicine, in the name of her grandson, Brian. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 30th at noon in St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church, 1420 S. Sappington Rd, Crestwood, MO. Luncheon will be served immediately following.
