Gallagher, Patricia - San Jose  
GALLAGHER, PATRICIA M. (AROUTH) 75, of San Jose, CA, passed away peacefully at home on March 15, 2015, surrounded by her family. Pat was born and raised in Pawtucket, a daughter of Joseph and Nora Arouth. She graduated from St. Joseph Hospital School of Nursing, Providence and married her love, Joseph Gallagher in 1960. Together they raised five children. They moved to Scarborough, ME where they lived for ten years before relocating to San Jose in 1973. Pat was an amazing and caring nurse; she worked for 30 years as an ICU nurse at Valley Medical Center in Santa Clara where she was awarded Nurse of the Year in 1996. She was an active member of Beta Sigma Phi, a philanthropic sorority, for over 40 years and a very active parishioner at Queen of Apostles Church where she was also a Eucharistic Minister. Pat was a fun loving and extremely giving person who loved to travel, entertain, shop, gamble and spend time with her grandchildren. She was a great friend to many and a wonderful mother, Tete, sister, sister-in-law and aunt. Pat was preceded in death by her husband Joseph, daughter Noreen, and son J.P. Gallagher. She is survived by daughters Dr. Kathleen Gallagher (David Graves), Arleen Gallagher, Joleen Roach (Hal), daughter-in-law Cindy Gallagher, and her eight grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Elizabeth Arouth of Cranston, brother Michael Arouth of Burrillville, brothers and sisters-in- law Frank and Anne Gallagher of No. Attleboro and Chuck and Eileen Piette of Pawtucket. Pat also leaves a niece, four nephews, many cousins and countless friends. A concelebrated Mass of Christian burial was held on March 21, at Queen of Apostles Catholic Church, 4911 Moorpark Ave, San Jose, CA 95129. Donations in Pat's memory may be made to Queen of Apostles Church.

Gallonio, Madeline - North Providence  
GALLONIO, MADELINE M. (MARINO) 93, passed away April 20th. She was the wife of the late Michael Gallonio. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Antonio and Maria (Santillo) Marino; and sister of the late Nellie Borrelli, Frances Maciocia, Evelyn DiPrete, Lucy Barone, Eva, Dora, Salvatore and Anthony Marino. She is survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Our Lady of Grace Church, 15 George Waterman Road, Johnston. Gamba, Elizabeth - Litchfield  
GAMBA, ELIZABETH A. (THOMAS) formerly of Cranston and West Greenwich, passed away April 19th in Litchfield, CT. Born in England she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Catherine White. She came to the U.S. to attend Lincoln School in Providence and also was a graduate of the RI School of Design. Elizabeth worked for the Cranston School Department and was a longtime volunteer tutor for English as a Second Language. She is survived by her children, Diana Thomas and Patricia Cappa. Funeral arrangements are private.

Giacchi, John - Warwick  
GIACCHI, JOHN 87, of Warwick passed away peacefully April 22, 2015 at the Golden Crest Nursing Home, North Providence. He was the beloved husband of Teresa Giacchi for 60 years. Born in Providence a son of the late Bartolo and Gelsomina Giacchi. Mr. Giacchi worked in the Dietary Department at the V.A. Medical Center, Providence for 37 years. John was a WWII Army Veteran, a member of the Military Band as a Trumpet Player and an avid New York Yankee's fan. Besides his wife he is survived by his beloved children John B. Giacchi and his wife Michele, Lucille Giacchi, Cheryl Henderson and her husband William and Sheila Renzi and her husband Christopher. Loving grandfather of 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Brother of Bartolo "Bart" Giacchi Jr. and the late Peter Giacchi and Comella Fazioli. His funeral service is Tuesday at 10 a.m. in "WOODLAWN" Funeral Home 600 Pontiac Ave. Cranston. Ginsberg, Selma - Cranston  
GINSBERG, SELMA 85, died April 23, 2015. Born in Fall River, a daughter of the late Max and Mollie (Zidenberg) Ginsberg, she was a graduate of BMC Durfee High School, and had been a resident of Cranston since 2002. She is survived by her sister Ida Katt of Georgia; her nieces Sheila Beck, Esta Katt and Sandra Gross; and her nephews Steffen Beck and Mark Gross. She was the sister of the late Beatrice Ginsberg, who was her twin. Funeral services will be held Monday, April 27th at 1:00 PM at Sugarman-Sinai Memorial Chapel, 458 Hope St., Providence, with burial in Lincoln Park Cemetery, Warwick. Glynn, William - Pawtucket  
GLYNN, WILLIAM T. of Hyde Avenue, Pawtucket died on April 24, 2015. He was the loving husband of Eileen R. (McCarthy) Glynn. They would have been married for 65 years on May 30th. Mr. Glynn was born in Central Falls, the son of the late Michael Glynn and Delia (Meehan) Glynn. He was a World War II Veteran of the United States Navy, where he served in the Invasion of Normandy in June of 1944. Mr. Glynn was in a variety of sales positions during his career and was the purchasing agent for the City of Pawtucket for many years. His greatest joy in life was spending time with his family. Besides his wife, Bill is survived by his children; Kathleen DeWolfe and her husband Michael of Pawtucket, Patricia Manchester and her husband Kurt of Tiverton, Ann Marie Braganca and her husband John of Pawtucket, Colleen Brindamour and her husband Michael of Rumford and Michael Glynn and his wife Lisa of Lincoln. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Corey, Ryan, Kaitlin, Kara, Emily, Nicholas, Daniel, Patrick, and Katherine. He also leaves his three great-grandchildren, Finley, Michael, and Evelyn. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial for Mr. Glynn on Wednesday, April 29th at 11:00 am in St. Teresa's Church, 358 Newport Avenue, Pawtucket. His calling hours will be from 8:30 am until 10:30 am on Wednesday morning prior to the funeral in the Manning-Heffern Funeral Home, 68 Broadway, Pawtucket. Gomes, Gabriel - East Providence  
GOMES, GABRIEL D., age 76, of Benson Ave., died April 21, 2015 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Vidalia (Marques) Gomes. Born in Sao Miguel, Azores, he was a son of the late Antonio Gomes and Maria Teresa da Luz. He worked as a cabinet maker for Monarch Industries. In addition to his wife of 56 years, he is survived by his children; Tony Gomes of Westport, MA, Jorge Gomes of Warwick, Gabriel Gomes, Patricia Lambert and Michael Gomes all of East Providence and David Gomes of Pawtucket and 19 grandchildren. His funeral will begin on Saturday at 9am from the Rebello Funeral Home and Crematory, 901 Broadway, East Providence, RI. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10am in St. Francis Xavier Church, N. Carpenter St., East Providence. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours will be Friday 5-8pm. Gouveia, Irene - Central Falls  
GOUVEIA, IRENE V. 78, passed away Saturday in the Philip Hulitar Center, Providence surrounded by her family. A life long Central Falls resident she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary B. (Nobrega) Gouveia. Her service to the City of Central Falls School System spanned over 30 years retiring as Principal of the Broad St. Elementary School and previously as Assistant Principal of the Central Falls Jr. High School. She was a graduate of the former Pembroke College, now Brown University receiving her Bachelors Degree in History in 1957, a Masters Degree in Education in 1961 and later a second Master Degree in Public Administration. She was a member of the Pembroke College Club and the Brown University College Club. Irene was also a communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church. She also loved to read and had traveled extensively. She leaves a sister, Alice Kraseiko and her husband Michael of Lincoln and sister in law Anita LoCascio of CA. Also surviving are a nephew and three nieces, Joseph Gouveia, Tina DeRoy, Debra Dion and Donna Sullivan. Six grand nieces and nephews, Tara Swanson, Kara Montalbano, Krysta Montalbano, Nicholas Dion, Michael Sullivan and Marisa Dion. She was also the sister of the late Joseph Gouveia Jr. A celebration of her life will be held Wednesday at 9 a.m. from the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Rd. Rte. 122, Cumberland. Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Fatima Church, Fatima Dr., Cumberland. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Cumberland. Relatives and friends are kindly invited.
