Theroux, Susan - West Warwick  
THEROUX, SUSAN J. (LEDUC), 75, passed away Saturday, May 21, 2016. She was a daughter of Germaine (Desrosier) Leduc and the late Gerard Leduc. She had been the wife of Donald C. Theroux and had four children, Donna Carchia (John), Mark Theroux (Kim), Christopher Theroux and Michele Comella (Steve); seven grandchildren, Domenic, Christopher and Katherine Carchia, Erik, Sean, Ryan and Elizabeth Theroux and three siblings, Gloria Whitty, William and Roland Leduc.Her visitation and funeral will be held Tuesday, May 24, 2016 from 8:30-9:30 am in the HENAULT-GALLOGLY Funeral Home, 5 Eddy St., West Warwick followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, Pleasant St, West Warwick. Thorsen, Virginia - Willington  
THORSEN, VIRGINIA L. (THOMAS) 85, of Willington, CT passed away peacefully on Friday, May 13, 2016 at Woodlake at Tolland. Born in West Haven to the late Arthur and Charlotte (Grady) Thomas, she moved to RI as a young child when her father started working for the Providence Journal. She grew up in Cranston and graduated from Cranston High School. She lived in Johnston RI until her retirement when she moved to South Carolina with her son before finally returning to CT and settling in Willington eight years ago. Virginia was a hard working woman and was employed at the former Induplate Co. in North Providence for many years. She was an active member of the Willington Senior Center and enjoyed knitting and traveling especially her trips to Alaska and Ireland. Virginia was fascinated with Native American culture and spirituality and she collected many tribal artifacts over the years. A loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she will be dearly missed. She is survived by her son Thomas Thorsen and his wife Rita of Simpsonville, SC; her daughter Katherine Gregory and her husband John of Willington; her grandchildren Joshua Gregory, Andrew Thorsen and Renee Crane; and her great-grandchildren Connor, Rebecca, Olivia and Lucianna. Services and burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. Memorial donations can be made in her name to Woodlake at Tolland 26 Shenipsit Lake Rd. Toles, Richard - West Warwick  
TOLES, RICHARD G. "RITCHIE" 70, of Wakefield St., died unexpectedly on Thursday, May 19, 2016 at Kent Hospital. Born in Niagara Falls, New York, he was the son of the late Richard G. and Ruth (Geedman) Toles. Richard was an employee of Builders Surplus for many years until his retirement in 2015. Richard was a talented carpenter, painter and man of many skills. He could accomplish any task with a smile on his face. Richard had a wonderful outlook on life, and he shared it with all. His big heart will forever be imbedded in our hearts. He is survived by his children, Cynthia Brown and her husband Steven of West Warwick, RI, Alyssa Casalini of Port Jefferson, NY, Richard G. Toles III of Providence, RI and Conrad A. Toles and his wife Mallete of Oakdale, NY; two sisters, Barbara Ryder of Deer Park, NY and Dorothy Kuskowski and her husband Edward of West Islip, NY; eight nieces and nephews, Joe, the late Barbara-Jean, Eddie, Roy, Keith, Chrissy, Eddie and Nicole; six grandchildren, Dominick, Bradley, Elizabeth and Maria Vaz, Daniel Casalini and Jack McFadden; four great-grandchildren Kevin Ventura III, Devyn Vaz, Khloe Pelleccione, and soon to be Scarlett Vaz. Troy, Gregory - Smithfield  
TROY, GREGORY G. 60, of Smithfield Rhode Island, died Monday afternoon at home surrounded by his family after a long, courageous battle with cancer. Born in Melrose, MA, Greg was the son of the late Leo and Jeanne Troy, he grew up in Rumford, RI. He was the loving husband of Joyce (Masse) Troy and father of Julia Troy of Brooklyn, NY. Greg was a graduate of St Raphael Academy and the University of Rhode Island. For 37 years Greg was a partner at the Troy, Pires and Allen Insurance agency and became the president of Cross Insurance of Rhode Island after selling the business in 2014. Known for being a witty, smart, dedicated insurance agent, Greg was always there to help his staff and clients. He was a past president of the Rhode Island Independent Insurance Agents, a position that his father also held several years earlier. Greg was passionate about helping his community and was the past president of the East Providence Boys and Girls Club and The To Kalon Club. He also served on the board of the Providence Performing Arts Center and the University of Rhode Island Athletic board. He was involved for many years with the Darlington Girls Softball League and volunteered with the Rhode Island Special Olympics. Greg was an avid New York Mets and Green Bay Packers fan, and loved playing sports, going to the gym, reading nonfiction books and listening to all of his favorite music from the 60's and 70's. He knew every piece of sports and music trivia that has ever existed, and took delight in quizzing his friends and family until they knew it too. Greg was strong, kind, funny, and tremendously caring. He was loved by his family and friends and he will truly be missed. In addition to his wife and daughter, Greg is survived by his 9 brothers and sisters Leo J. (Susan), Linda Gustafson, Peter J. (Mary), Christopher V. (Susan), Michael G. (Cathy), Jeffrey L. (Monica), Cynthia Gerrity (John), Andrew P. (Diane), Jennifer Brennan (Ted) and his 38 nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday at 10am in St Margaret's Church, Pawtucket Ave., Rumford. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours Thursday 4-8pm in the Monahan Drabble Sherman Funeral Home 230 Waterman St., Providence.
