Gaudet, Dorothy - Coventry  
GAUDET, DOROTHY H. 88, of 9 Red Oak Drive, Coventry, died Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at Kent Hospital. She was the wife of the late Joseph G. Gaudet. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late, James H. and Helen C. (Goulding) Dodd, Sr. Dorothy worked as a registered nurse at Fatima Hospital for many years, before retiring in 1990. She leaves two sons, Richard E. Gaudet, James G. Gaudet (Diane) with whom she resided in Coventry, a daughter, Carol A. Bramley (Russell); a brother, James H. Dodd, Jr. (Beverly) (ret. PPD), her sister, Marilyn McGovern (Thomas); her daughters in law, Sandra L. Gaudet, and Theresa Gaudet; 9 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter. She was the mother of the late William J. Gaudet and John L. Gaudet. Her funeral will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2015 at 8:45 am from the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence. Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Saint Pius V Church, Eaton St., Providence. Burial will be in Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. GLASKO, RITA M. 86, died Friday. She was the wife of the late Charles C. Glasko. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Amedee and Anna (LaVoie) Langlois. She is survived by her children, Charles C. Glasko, Jr., of Providence, Linda Oakley of Lincoln and Chris Glasko of Boston. Gomes, Joao - East Providence  
GOMES, JOAO P. 92, of Raymond St., East Providence, died peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family Sunday morning, May 17, 2015. He was the beloved husband of Maria "Lourdes" (Pacheco) Gomes. Born in Lisbon, Portugal, on Sept. 7, 1922, he was a son of the late Arturo and Amelia (Pires) Gomes. Mr. Gomes proudly served in the Portuguese Navy. In addition to his wife of 70 years, he leaves his daughter, Matilda Souza and her husband Joseph; his granddaughter, Janet Desrosiers and her husband Andre; his grandson, Joseph J. Souza and his wife Kristen; and four great grandchildren, Andrew, Jared, Victoria and Nicholas. He also leaves a brother, a son, 6 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild, all residing in Portugal. His funeral will begin Thursday at 9am from the Rebello Funeral Home and Crematory, 901 Broadway, East Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Francis Xavier Church, 81 No. Carpenter St., East Providence. Burial will follow at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours will be Wednesday 5pm until 8pm. GUILMETTE III, RONALD M. "RONNIE" 28, of Matteson Ave., passed away on Saturday, May 16, 2015. Born in Providence, he was the son of Ronald M. Guilmette, Jr. of Cranston and Diane L. (Cruz) Moschetti and her husband Robert of West Warwick. Ronnie attended Coventry High School and he loved music, tattoos, his pit bull, and the New England Patriots, but most of all, spending time with his kids. Besides his parents, he leaves his children, Ronald M. Guilmette IV, Julian Guilmette and Gianna Guilmette, all of Bristol and a brother, Anthony J. Guilmette of West Warwick. Hackett, Charles - Warwick  
HACKETT CHARLES H. 99, of Warwick passed away on Sunday, May 17, 2015. Charles was the husband of Cynthia J. (Amaral) Hackett of Warwick. Born in Burningham, England; he was the son of the late Herbert and Ruth (Shufflebottom) Hackett. He proudly served in the Royal Air Force during WWII before beginning his career as the managing director for Bonas Brothers Machinery of Litchfield, England. Charles was very crafty and would often times repair the looms and help other mill owners repair their looms. His work brought him to Canada for a brief time and eventually the company opened a plant in the United States in which he was asked to manage. He never lost his heritage and the love of England, where his family still lives. Charles will be remembered as a quiet, private, informative and knowledgeable individual with plenty of life experience and wisdom. Besides his wife Cindy, he is survived by two daughters: Eileen Stride (Keith) and Barbara Bennett (Ted); one stepson Kevin Borges (Lynne); three grandchildren: Wayne Stride (Kara), Russell Stride (Rose) and Kyle Borges and three great-grandchildren: Luke, Sam and Jack Stride.
