Montaquila, Edith - Coventry  
MONTAQUILA, EDITH G. (GAGNON) 72, of Coventry, passed away on Thursday, June 23, 2016. She was the beloved wife of Arnold Montaquila, Esq. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Raymond and Rose (Bellano) Gagnon. In September 2010, Edith retired as the first Business Manager for Holy Apostles Church, Cranston in order to be a full time Noni to her granddaughter Bella. She is survived by her husband, her loving and devoted daughter, Patricia Montaquila-Mowry and husband Eric. Edith is also survived by her precious granddaughter, Isabella "Bella" Rose and her little pug Allen and many nieces and nephews. She was the devoted sister of the late Patricia Gagnon who was buried on the same day that Edith's daughter was baptized in the hospital after it was thought that she would not survive a serious illness. Edith then decided to name her daughter after her deceased sister. Her funeral will be held on Thursday, June 30th at 8:30am from the MACERONI Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am at Holy Apostles Church, 800 Pippin Orchard Rd., Cranston. Burial will follow at St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday from 4-7pm. Morrissette, Richard - North Kingstown  
MORRISSETTE, RICHARD A. 62, of North Kingstown, passed away Saturday, June 18, 2016. He was the beloved husband of Jo-Ann L. (Walker) Morrissette for forty-three years. Born in Fall River, MA, he was a son of Rose (Pelletier) Morrissette of Fall River, MA and the late Frederic Morrissette. Mr. Morrissette served in the US Army for fourteen years. He worked for General Dynamics, Electric Boat for ten years before graduating from New England Tech where he made the Dean's List. He later worked for Teppco/Enterprise for sixteen years; and most recently worked for the VA Hospital. He enjoyed fishing, bowling, gardening, woodworking and making toys for his grandchildren. He was a member of Christ Church. In addition to his wife, he leaves two daughters, Kimberly A. Pavao of Coventry and Christy A. Morrissette of New Bedford, MA; a brother, Paul Morrissette of Fall River, MA; a sister, Diane Columbe of Dartmouth; and five grandchildren, Joshua Morrissette, Shelby and Mathew McKay, Jessleen and Isaiah Pavao. His funeral service will be held Friday, June 24, 2016 at 11am in the FAGAN-QUINN Funeral Home, 825 Boston Neck Road, North Kingstown. Burial with Military Honors will follow in RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society will be appreciated. Muto, Anthony - Scituate  
MUTO, ANTHONY THOMAS 30 passed away on June 19, 2016. Born in Providence he was the beloved son of Anthony R. and. Laura A. (Fusaro) Muto. He was the loving brother of Melanie L. Muto. Beloved grandson of Angelo and Irene J. Fusaro and the late Anthony U. and Norma G. Muto. He is also survived by many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Friends. Anthony was living and working in Philadelphia, Pa. as a software developer. He was working for Comcast, prior to that he worked for Mobile Apps Enterprises and Sears Holdings of Chicago. Anthony was a graduate of North Scituate High School and Bryant University. He was an Eagle Scout, a Red Sox Fan and a Patriots Fan. Napolitano, John - Newport  
NAPOLITANO, JOHN ANTHONY "JACK" 69, of Newport died on June 23rd at home after a brief illness, surrounded by his loving family. Jack was born on June 16, 1947 in Jacksonville, Florida and grew up in Newport attending public schools, De La Salle and the Community College of Rhode Island. He was a Vietnam veteran serving aboard the USS Newport News 1967-68. He began a career in insurance sales in 1971 upon graduation from the Community College of Rhode Island. Jack spent over 45 years working as an insurance agent and financial advisor for The New England and Metropolitan Insurance Companies. He was dedicated to his clients and colleagues, receiving numerous awards and recognitions throughout his illustrious career. Jack wrote several articles for national insurance publications and spoke around the country which has been a source of inspiration for thousands of new agents entering the business. He was a platform speaker at the 1994 Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) to over 8,000 attendees, representing 22 countries. His legacy in the Insurance industry was his greatest professional and personal achievements. He loved his work and his clients, and found purpose and joy in helping others through difficult times and loss. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Jeanne-Marie (Kemp) Napolitano, current Mayor of Newport and his children, Tracey A Napolitano of Newport, Sean P Napolitano and his wife Andrea, Michael and his wife Meaghan, Joseph P Napolitano and Jennifer Arnold of Newport, his grandchildren whom he loved dearly, Keeley Rose Sheekey, Brian A Napolitano, Morgan Napolitano and Jack Napolitano. He is also survived by his brother Paul D Napolitano of Bedford, Massachusetts, and beloved black lab, Buster. He is predeceased by his parents, Anthony P. Napolitano and Mary (Trainor) Napolitano. Jack was an active in his community. He was a member of the Middletown Rotary for the past 25 years, serving as President in 1994-1995 and also served on the Board of Trustee's for CCRI since 2005. He was inducted into the Alumni Association Society of the Knights in 2007. Early in his career, Jack was member of the Jaycees, working tirelessly with his fellow Jaycees on community projects. He is a member of the Waunotonomy Golf Club. He helped with the Rec Reunion Committee. He was a communicant of St Joseph's Church in Newport. Jack loved to play Racquetball and was an avid golfer. He loved to cook and found comfort in feeding anyone who walked into his home. He was a loving and loyal friend embracing life with an excitement that was unavoidably contagious. Jack had words of encouragement and inspiration for everyone, especially for those he felt would have the most impact. He loved to dance and especially loved the sounds of Motown. He laughed louder, longer, and loved harder than most. He touched many lives and will be missed by all. Visitation is Monday, June 27th from 4:00pm 7:00pm at Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, June 28th at 10:00am in St Joseph's Church on Broadway. Committal prayers and military honors will follow at St Columba's Cemetery in Middletown. O'Brien, John - North Providence  
O'BRIEN, JOHN J., 85, of North Providence, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 20, 2016 at the home of his daughter and son-in-law. He was the beloved husband of the late June F. (Tucker) O'Brien. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late William and Bridget (Barry) O'Brien. Mr. O'Brien worked as Director of Human Services for Benny's Inc. before retiring in 1999. He was a Coast Guard Veteran of the Korean War and was a recipient of the Korean Combat Medal, Sharp Shooter Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. He was a 1948 graduate of LaSalle Academy. A loving father and grandfather, he is survived by his three children, John J. O'Brien, and his wife, Janice Morse, of Cranston, Sharon Bisceglio, and her husband, James Kerte, of North Providence, and Representative William W. O'Brien (District 54, N. Providence) of North Providence; and four grandchildren, Gina Erickson and her husband Justin, Janna Drew and her husband Matt, Kristy Kerte and Evan Kerte. He was the brother of the late Timothy and William O'Brien His funeral will be held on Friday, June 24, 2016 at 9:30 a.m. from the MACERONI FUNERAL HOME, 1381 Smith Street, North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at St. Robert Bellarmine Church, 1804 Atwood Avenue, Johnston. PETERSON, LILLIAN, E., (ANDRADE) 83, of Goldsmith Avenue, died peacefully on June 21, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Providence, a daughter of the late August and Emily (Motta) Andrade, she lived in East Providence for 50 years. Mrs. Peterson was a cashier for the former Grants Department Store. She was a life member of the Riverside American Legion Post #10 Woman's Auxiliary. Lillian was a volunteer at the St. Brendan Church bingo and other various organizations. She enjoyed duckpin bowling. She is survived by her six children, Denise M.J. Betz of Portsmouth, Edward "Ted" J. Peterson of Denver, CO, Daniel F. Peterson of Riverside, Renee L. Lorince of East Providence, Frederick J. Peterson Jr. of Salem, OR and Lauren E. Peterson of FL; a brother, Arnold Andrade of East Providence; a sister, Marie Penn of East Providence; ten grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
