DORIS McGINNESS Obituary

McGINNESS, DORIS A. of Venice, Florida, died peacefully on March 12, 2010.

She was born on November 22, 1914 to Albert and Alice (Taber) Decelles in Pawtucket, R.I. Doris was a licensed practical nurse at Lying-In Hospital in Providence, R.I. for many years.

She was preceded in death by husbands, Louis Tougas and William McGinness; a daughter, Roberta Farrands, granddaughter, Beth A. Boyle and a stepson John McGinness. Survivors include her daughter, Ruth A. (Andrew) Boyle of Nokomis, Florida; a stepdaughter, Jacqueline Zona of Cumberland, R.I.; stepsons, James McGinness of Lincoln, R.I. and William McGinness of Oceanside, CA. beloved sister, Clara Church of Lincoln, R.I. plus eighteen grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

Donations in her memory are suggested to Woodlawn Baptist Church, Londsdale Avenue, Pawtucket, R.I. 02860. A memorial service will be held in Rhode Island at a later date. Farley Funeral Home in Venice, Florida is handling the arrangements. To send condolences visit farleyfuneralhome.com.

Ruthie,
My sincere sympathy on the passing of yor mother-she will always be known to me as Mrs. Tougas.
It's been many years, many wonderful memories growing up with Roberta--Lonsdale Ave and Weeden St.
God Bless you and your family.
My prayers are with you all. Hope to attend memorial service in R.I.

Dear Bill, Jim, and John, My sincere condolences on the loss of your stepmother, Doris. I'm sure she will be sorely missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you. May God Bless you and comfort you in these trying times.I didn't know Doris but was a classmate of Bill in the class of '55 at Central Falls High.
