Today is the 1st day that we will never physically see my grandmother again but I am not sad because she has already showed me that she is free and flying with my nephew. My nephew, Jeremy, relayed a message to me and that message is he would always send me a "red bird". Well, on the day of my grandmother's wake, there were 3 (I know who they were) red cardinals playing in my front tree, sitting and watching in my window. It was the most peaceful sign that she is with him. She was awesome to him when he was sick prior to his death and I know in my heart, he was the first to grab her hand and show her how to fly to the Heavenly gates. So believe in your loved ones that have passed, they show you they are still with you, just look, listen and talk to them....a little chill that you get, just might be a "kiss on your cheek".
Also, my grandmother gave me the one and only original Christmas gift ever. When I was young, I saw this huge big box under the tree "just for me". Well....I was shaking with excitement. I ripped open the box to find a ton of paper and more paper...finally at the bottom of the box was a 10 lbs of potatoes. I was so mad at that time being a little girl. I believe everyone else, laughed so hard they wet themselves. Well, truly it took a few years to get over it but we all still laughed about that Christmas gift for years, even yesterday....I thanked her for making Me the special grandchild to have faith in and knowing that I would find it funny still to this day.
I have also learned how to take my shoe off, in a quick second, in the car and throw it at the person/child acting up in the backseat of the car. Hahahaha!! Thanks for that life lesson too. She truly was so fun to be around. Tons of great memories. To one of the best ladies ever, I will truly miss you and love you more than anyone knows. How grateful I am to have spent most of my birthdays with you and you always made sure it was a party. I love you and will be looking and listening for you.

I knew Mrs. Seleyman as a patient years ago. I enjoyed talking with her and learned a few things from her over the years. May God rest her soul and give strength to her family members.

Dear Sharon, Stephie and all the family and friends of Elizabeth,

I would like to extend my deepest sympathy to all of you. It's never easy to say goodbye to a loved one. Try to find comfort in all the wonderful memories you have of times spent with Elizabeth. Sometimes they will bring tears, sometimes they will bring a smile to your face and warmth to your heart, and other times you will laugh so hard you will cry. May they bring you comfort now and always. You will all be in my thoughts and prayers.

My family and I will always remember the great times we had with auntie Betty, she was always fun to be around and a wonderful person. My boys also remeber the fun memories, especially when she would tell them " YOU WANNA SEE THE MOON " then hold a sleeve from a jacket over their eye and say wait you will see it in a minute, then she would get a glass of water pour it down the sleeve in their face. She would never be forgotten.
Love You Always

There's a hole in my heart that can't be filled. But the memories I have of Auntie Betty will always be with me. Memories of Aunty Betty filling her station wagon up with all the cousins to take us to the village of "trolls" in the darkness, or riding through the woods where "Freddy Fingernails" might pounce on the car scratching the roof to get to naughty children. We would laugh & cry till we wet ourselves! She cooked Pepe's receipes of traditional Turkish foods.
Aunty Betty loved us all no matter what. She was one of the strongest woman I knew and one of the most beloved.
