Michael John Harwood

HARWOOD, MICHAEL JOHN
Dighton, Ma. 64, passed away Wednesday Oct. 24th surrounded by his family, after a brief battle with cancer. He was the loving husband of Joyce (Souza) Harwood.
Mike was an incredibly thoughtful man with a big heart. He was a lover of all God's creatures and never hesitated to offer a helping hand when needed. He was the first to help a neighbor, friend or family member and he was always the guy that would come through. Mike was also the funny uncle that everyone gravitated to. He was employed at the Providence Journal as local advertising director for 25 years. His last few years were spent working at Silko Honda in Raynham.
Surviving in addition to his wife are his children, Christopher Harwood of Raynham and Jessica Nardozzi and her husband Anthony of Dighton; brothers, David R. Harwood and his wife Janice of Dighton and Kenneth R. Harwood and his wife Anita of VA; sisters, Mary-Lou Harwood of Taunton and Susan E. Rose and her husband Raymond of N. Dighton; granddaughter, Ella Nardozzi of Dighton; brothers-in-law, Don Souza and David Souza and his wife Dee; sister-in-law, Diane McQuade and her husband Bob, and Linda Munise and her late husband John; many nieces and nephews, and a large loving extended family.
His funeral service will be held on Monday, October 29, 2018 at 10am in the Crapo-Hathaway Funeral Home, 350 Somerset Ave., Taunton. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Cremation to follow.
Calling Hours will be held on Sunday, October 28, 2018 from 1-4pm in the funeral home.
