Andrew Depietro Obituary

DEPIETRO, ANDREW ROSS 23, passed away peacefully on Wednesday July 17. He is survived by his loving parents Ross and Lil, his brother Sam and sister Kate. He is predeceased his grandparents Ross and Mary DePietro and his Uncle Charlie Hopkins. He is also survived by his Grandmother Ann Rieger, Aunts and Uncles Joann and Fred Wind, Maureen and Bobby Mandich, Mark and Alice DiPietro and all of his loving cousins. Andrew is a graduate of East Greenwich High School, and New England Institute of Technology. Andrew loved life and music. He had a passion for cooking, hiking and soccer. He will be dearly missed by his many friends in Rhode Island, Long Island and Deposit NY. Wake will be held on Long Island Sunday from 2 to 6 pm at William E. Law Funeral Home 1 Jerusalem Ave, Massapequa NY. Funeral Mass Monday 10:00am St. Frances de Chantal RC Church. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established. Donations can be made to Andrew DePietro Memorial Fund c/o Ross and Lil DePietro, 15 Jefferson Dr., E. Greenwich, RI 02818.

Dear Lil and family--

My heart breaks as I read Andrew's death announcement. Please know that I hold you all in my heart and pray for peace for each one of you as you move through, one day at a time. I remember Andrew fondly as a sweet and active young boy during the time our children were young... we lost Zach last summer (a fall/traumatic brain injury) and know your pain.

I am sorry to hear about Andrew's passing. As the chair of the video department at New England Tech, I had many great talks with Andrew. We both had NY backgrounds and we spoke proudly of that.
