Antoinette Pansey Obituary

PANSEY, ANTOINETTE "TONI TUCCI" peacefully passed away December 7, 2010 at the age of 91. A resident of Providence and Bristol for several decades as the wife of Pawtucket textile manufacturer, the late Neil Pansey, she was living recently in Indian Harbor Beach, Florida. She was the quintessential New York character, as an actress (Broadway in "Rat Race," TV on the "Untouchables," "Eastside/Westside" and "The Defenders"), as a bestselling author ("The Butterfly Secret" in 1979 helped mature women cope with life's vicissitudes), as a world-class and ageless beauty (she was still turning heads until her death) and as a indispensable member of the demi-monde, dancing the night away at Studio 54 in its heyday. She was a friend to many of the most notable figures of the last half century and every velvet rope in Rhode Island or New York parted for her on sight. She was feted at Carnival in Rio, riding on a float at the head of the Mardi Gras parade. Despite her rather active professional and social life, she managed to fit in marriage, raising a family and countless loves. Not one to slide by on her looks, she had a curiosity about people and life that never ceased. Her hot-blooded Italian temperament, warm personality and steadfast friendship endeared her to all. She is survived by: her daughter Cleo Angevine, son Gary of Melbourne, Florida, daughter-in-law Catherine Pansey, sister Beverly Zeppieri, stepson Roy Pansey, 5 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, her most faithful and loving caregiver, Charlene Rambo and innumerable friends, who were lucky to be invited to her party. Services and Burial for Toni will be held in Syracuse, NY. Condolences may be sent c/o Farone and Sons Funeral Home, 1500 Park St. Syracuse, NY, 13208 (315 422 1911)

Oh my God! I had no idea that the Author of The Butterfly Secret, (the fuel of my adolescent libido and foundation of my dating strategy for years!) was a neighbor here is Rhode Island! Godspeed, beautiful lady!
