Mike & Joyce: So sorry to hear of your loss. Your dad was certainly a legend, not only in West Warwick but in the entire football community of RI.
Was always happy to be assigned to the Wizard games because I knew they would always be prepared.

Cheryl and Mike -- and all the family. As I grow older I learn more about the Maznicki family, too often as result of the inevitable we all face. I knew your Dad when I was a young boy who admired his accomplishments at West Warwick and BC. Circumstances did not allow further, closer relationships but I always knew of and proudly admired his accomplishments. I pray that your Dad and I may one day talk about "those good old days."

To The Maznicki Family:It is difficult to come up with something to say, when there are 60 years of memories.Our families have been intertwined for decades because of our dads, and Mike being my "best man,"etc. Many people have asked me how well I knew COACH. To the Maznicki family please accept our deepest sympathy. I still to this day consider it a privilege to have played football and baseball for Coach. I can still remember the stories he used to tell me of when he was in the military with Ted Williams. I also loved his stories of playing ball with Ted Williams and playing football for the Chicago Bears. He was a great sportsman and he will be missed by everyone who knew him.

"Coach" I can still hear him saying "Aww jeeze" when we made a mistake or let him down. He had the best common sensence simple statements that would confuse people today. I remember carrying him on our shoulders after winning the Division I Super Bowl versus the Undefeated Bishop Hendricken Hawks. We were also Undefeated, the difference was that we were Wizards - HIS Wizards. I am sure that every WWHS Championship can be traced back to Coach Maznicki's will to win and competitive spirit.

A great man who changed a town and thousands of lives that were fortunate enough to be guided by him. His legacy lives on in the people that were lucky enough to have met him and to follow in his footsteps. It was an honor, Coach.
