I had the pleasure of attending cardiac rehab with George in 2008 at Miriam Hospital. He was always the gentleman, and always talked about his family. He let his love of the water be known to all. He told me,"Kathy, I have difficulty on dry land, but once I get out on the water, I feel right at home." I always remembered that.

George's zest for life was contagious. The twinkle in his eye said it all. Bob and I were inspired by his civic commitments. It was my special pleasure to work with him in advancing the East Coast Greenway in Rhode Island. We miss him already.

I am so sorry for your loss. I first met George in the late 1960's when I worked at Lynwood Pharmacy after school . We worked together campaigning for Dave Freidman and had so many laughs with the gang at Lynwood's! HE WAS THE BEST!! Rest in peace .Debbie Santos

I worked with George on bike paths for years, and he was an inspiration to everyone he came in contact with. His strong belief in what he was doing, his positive attitude, and his willingness to devote a lot of his time and energy to what he believed in was awesome. I will miss him.

I didn't know Mr. Redman personally, but I hope that the portion of the bike path in Riverside is named in his honor.
