CABRAL, HELENA (MENDONCA) 62, died peacefully surrounded by her loving family Saturday night, Oct. 18, 2014 at the Roger Williams Medical Center. She was the beloved wife of Orlando Cabral. Born May 27, 1952, in Santa Maria, Azores, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Carolina da Aleluia (Lopes) Mendonca. In addition to her husband of 42 years, she leaves her son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Jennifer Cabral of Warwick; her grandson, Nico Valentino Cabral; and her sisters, Ana de Sousa of Florida and Rose Barros of East Providence. She was also the sister of the late Antonio Mendonca and Aristides "Eric" Mendonca. Her funeral will begin Friday at 8:45am from the Rebello Funeral Home and Crematory, 901 Broadway, East Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, Traverse St., Providence. Burial will follow at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours will be Thursday, 4pm until 8pm. www.rebellofuneralhome.com
