I'm always missing you Joan. I think of you often, more than you would have guessed. I miss all of our talks and visits, all of our laughs (I still can hear your voice and your laugh), I miss the family and all you brought into the world. You had such a positive impact in my life that I always carry with me and in my heart , mind and soul. I'm not sure if you would agree but you helped mold me into the person I am through your helpful ways, taking me in, our talks, your understanding, compassion and advise since I was a young girl coming to your home. The one thing you tried to help fix that I miss the most in my life has never come to be again but I still love her and always will. Thank you for all you gave me and all the beautiful memories I have of you and your family. You made me feel like your home was my home away from home. I will carry you in my heart until we meet again. Say hi to Jesus, my Dad and my Gabriel for me. I love you Marmy!

Dear Debbie, Billy, Judy and Joanie,
What can I say that I already didn't? Your Mom was truly an example of how people should be. Kind, Caring, Loving, Understanding, Helpful, Forgiving, Sharer of... Her Faith, Her Home, Her Love, Herself. I am blessed to have known such a woman. I will miss her smile, laughter, talks and our visits whether they were in person or on the phone. She had such an impact on my life and I will love her always. God be with all of you in your time of need and longing.

Joan E. Botelho will be sadly missed. She was a person who NEVER put herself first. She ALWAYS thought of others. She always had room in her house to shelter many and she always had room at her table to share her delicious cooked meals, ALL were welcome. She was fun and fiesty and if you were blessed to know her you would know she loved her family unconditionally. Joan was the most forgiving loving person I ever known. She was faithful in her belief that ANYTHING was possible and she always had hope that things would get better. She was a very thoughtful person. I will miss her very much. She taught me what unconditional love is.
