Mary J. Scetta Obituary
95, of Providence paseed away Wednesday June 6, 2018. She was the beloved wife of the late Gaetano "Tony" Scetta.
Born in Central Falls, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Amelia (Belley) Lemieux. She lived in Providence for forty years before moving back to the Blackstone Valley Area.
Mrs. Scetta was a homemaker, an avid bingo player, and also enjoyed to crochet.
She is survived by her two loving daughters, Lydia Wild and her husband Donald of Seekonk, Suzanne Silva and her companion Frederick Bankosky of Cumberland, two grandsons, Steven Silva and Kenneth Silva and his wife Becky of Cumberland, one great-grandson Nicholas Silva of Cumberland, a dear niece Ann Marie Manocchio and her husband Michael, one great nephew Adam Manocchio, along with several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Bertha Voas, Omer Lemieux and Jean Lavallee.
Her funeral will be held Monday June 11, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. from the Darlington Mortuary of L. Heroux & Son 1042 Newport Avenue Pawtucket with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Cecilia's Church 1253 Newport Avenue Pawtucket. Burial will be private. Calling Hours will be held Sunday evening from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Jeanne Jugan Residence 964 Main Street Pawtucket, R.I. 02860 would be greatly appreciated.
