BRANCA, DANIEL 91, of Johnston, passed away on Wednesday February 26, 2014 at the VA Medical Center in Providence. He was the beloved husband of Angela (Macera) Branca. They were married for the past 65 years. Daniel was born in Johnston a son of the late Joseph and Maria (Penpera) Branca. Mr. Branca was a graduate of Berklee School of Music; and was the owner of Progressive Studios of Music. He was also a WW II Army veteran and a Purple Heart recipient. Daniel was inducted into the Soccer Hall of Fame in 1985; and was a member of the Kelley Gazzero VFW Post #2812, American Federation of Musicians and the Disabled American Veterans. Besides his beloved wife he is survived by his loving children, Joseph Branca and his companion Melanie Turner, Diane Isabella and Daniel Branca all of Johnston. He was the cherished grandfather of 3, great grandfather of 8, dear brother of the late Santa Ricci and Lena Kimball and loving father-in-law of the late Joseph Isabella. His funeral will be held on Thursday at 9 am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Rocco's Church, Atwood Ave., Johnston.
