CARROLL, GERALD "JERRY" C. 76, of Pawtucket and a summer resident of Pittsburg, NH, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, August 7, 2014. He was the beloved husband of Maryann N. (Banas) Carroll for fifty-four years. A lifelong resident of Pawtucket, he was a son of the late Nicholas E., Sr. and Grace Mary (Cameron) Carroll. Jerry was a driver for Smith Transfer Trucking Company, Seekonk for thirty years until retiring in 1986. He was a communicant of St. Maria Goretti Church; member of the Teamsters Local 251; Chief Range Officer and Executive Board member of Stony Brook Rod & Gun Club, Lincoln; associate member of the FOP Lodge No. 4, Pawtucket; member of Northwoods Lease Holders Association of Pittsburg, NH; life member of the NRA and a NRA certified pistol instructor. Jerry's special interests included spending time with his two grandchildren and family at Teapot Brook Camp, Pittsburg, NH; fly fishing; hunting; 4-wheeling; shooting, canoeing; collecting models of antique cars and riding his Harley Davidson with family and friends. Besides his loving wife, he leaves two daughters, Nicole Leavitt, her husband Brian and their son, Cameron Robert Leavitt, and Melissa Pereira, her husband, Hermano, Jr. and their daughter, Olivia Grace Pereira; his four legged sidekick, "Rusty" and several nieces, nephews and godchildren. He was the brother of the late Nicholas E. Carroll, Jr. and Norma Carroll. His funeral will be held Wednesday at 9 a.m. from WILLIAM W. TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Maria Goretti Church, 155 Power Road, Pawtucket. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland. VISITATION will be Tuesday 4 to 8 p.m.
