PhotoFREZZA, THOMAS A., 70, of Tyndall Avenue, died Tuesday at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Alice M. (Bowles) Frezza. They were in their 50th year of marriage.

Born in Providence, a son of the late Anthony J. and Genevieve E. (Swift) Frezza, he lived in Providence most of his life.

Mr. Frezza was a supervisor for G Tech for ten years, and most recently worked as a parking lot supervisor for the Churchill & Banks Company for the past two years.

An avid lifelong sports fan, especially the NY Yankees and Giants, he was active in the Saint Thomas Parish C.Y.O. as the director of the Sports Committee and basketball coach, for several years. He also played in several softball leagues during his younger years, and was also known for his beautiful singing voice.

Besides his wife Alice, he leaves his loving daughters, Jean Marie Frezza, Teresa M. Berube, and Mary A. Frezza; his brother, Walter F. Frezza, as well as other siblings, and two loving granddaughters, Katherine and Valerie Desautel.

The funeral will be held Saturday, at 8:45 am, from the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence. Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Saint Agnes Church, 100 Chatham Street, Providence. Burial will be in Saint Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours Friday, 5 to 8 pm.
