Agnes Klement Obituary
78, passed away on April 5, 2017. Born in Woonsocket, she studied at St. Xavier High School, Salve Regina College, and URI. A lifelong educator, she taught 8th grade in Whelan School (formerly Woodward Rd. School) and Birchwood School and served as Principal of McGuire School. She was also Principal of St. James School in Biddeford, ME. Marie was an Associate of the Sisters of Mercy. Daughter of the late Agnes Marie Klement and the niece of the late Robert McClure and Madeleine Danese she leaves several cousins. Marie will be missed by her good friends and former students Vera DeMarco, William Tallman and Joan Celona Ricci and the DeMarco family, Audrey, Peter, Diane and Gail with whom she spent every holiday. She will be remembered by hundreds of former students and colleagues as a teacher and friend who took exceptional interest in those around her, loved her dogs, and did not tolerate bad grammar.
Friends and family are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated on Saturday, April 22nd at 10 am at St. Jude Parish, 301 Front St., Lincoln, RI. Burial will be private. So sorry to hear. A lot of good memories of Miss Klement from Birchwood school times back in the 70's for myself, my brother and my 3 sisters. Once and a while I watch films my father took from that time, of all the parties at my parents house that you attended. Great times.

As I write this, I am thinking about my grammar and punctuation. Perhaps, I should diagram the sentence. Teaching me the value of writing a coherent and cohesive paragraph was only one of your gifts to me and countless students. I will miss you but will always remember our many exploits.
