Kevin Miller Obituary
Kevin Francis Miller, born April 22, 2007, son of Dr. Stephen F. Miller and attorney Caroline (Prebola) Miller of Dallas, was taken by God as an angel to Heaven on Friday, Dec. 21, 2012.
To know Kevin was to know happiness. He was the love of his parents' and brothers' lives. He loved to sing songs, play in his swimming pool and cuddle with his mother, father and both brothers.
He was one of the most beautiful little boys inside and out. Our hearts are broken.
Kevin was a member of St. Nicholas Church, Wilkes-Barre, and attended kindergarten at I'm Big Now Learning Center, Dallas.
Kevin was preceded in death by his cousin, Lea C. Sassi, on Nov. 4, 2012.
Surviving, in addition to his parents, are his twin brother, Christopher and older brother, Stephen; maternal grandparents, Thomas and Theresa Prebola, Kingston; paternal grandparents, Dr. James and Frances Miller, Bear Creek. In addition, also surviving are his aunts, uncles and cousins, Thomas and Lynn Prebola and their children, Joshua and Juliette; Jon and Kristin Sassi and their children, Jonathan, Tyler and Katelyn; Dr. James and Amy Miller and their children, Dr. Nicole Randolph, Dr. James and Danielle; Dr. Michael and Dr. Deborah Miller and their children, Stephanie, Michael, Erica, David and Megan; Dr. John and Lisa Miller and their children, John and Eric; Dr. Mark and Dr. Nicole Miller and their child, Adeline; Randy and Christine Lisman and their children, Janice, Alan, and Andrew.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Kevin will be held in St. Nicholas Church, Wilkes-Barre, at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are by the Corcoran Funeral Home, 20 S. Main St., Plains Township.

As i mentioned in my original message, I also suddenly lost my baby granddaughter at 2 1/2 in December of '03... she turned 20 this year in heaven. Loss of a child makes us members of a group to which we never want to belong . Your family (Forest Park neighbors) was added to my prayer list that day...as I remember my Maddie with love, I hope for the same for your family..."always a blessing..never a loss". Blessings to you and your family especially during this holiday season.

Dear Dr and Atty. Miller,
Though we have never met, my heart was crushed when reading of the loss of such a beautiful child. Twenty-Four years ago I was witness to a family's similar sudden and senseless tragic misfortune. Upon returning home that evening I sat on the floor beside my then 2-year old daughter's bed as she slept. I remained by her side, my eyes repeatedly welling up with tears. In what seemed like and may have been hours, I thanked God for her and prayed for the family I'd never known yet could feel a loss which has remained a part of my being to this day.
My daughter and a son who followed are now grown. Throughout their youth and to the present I feel blessed for both and treasure every moment with them all the more.
I doubt anything I may say nor offer could possibly assuage the grief, loss or breadth of emotions you must be enduring. I pray God grants you the solace and strength drawn from the love of your family to heal and, in time, move forward with the beauty of those who remain. My heart goes out to you all with my deepest empathy.
