Anna M. Hurst passed away peacefully on March 2, 2013, in hospice care at St John's Home in Rochester, N.Y.
Born in Germany on Nov. 25, 1919, she came to the United States with her mother when she was 8 years old to join her father in Wilkes Barre.
She married Richard T. Hurst and moved to Clarks Summit, where they raised their family. Married for 68 years, she spent her latter years in Clermont, Fla., until the death of her husband in 2011.
She is survived by her daughter, Constance Valk, Rochester; sons, David Hurst and his wife, Lynn, Forty Fort, and Jonathan Hurst and his wife, Mary, Tunkhannock; six grandchildren, Jonathan Hurst, Kelly Hurst, Katy Hurst, David Hurst, Abby Schraeder and her husband, Chad, and Audra McGrady and her husband, Ryan; and two great-grandchildren, Emma Hurst and Sophia Schraeder.
A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Cremation Services of Western NY, 2309 Culver Road, Rochester.
