Frederick J. Robinson, 58, of Kingston, passed away Saturday in the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
Born in Champaign, Ill., he was the son of the late Gilbert and Mildred Mahn Robinson.
He was a graduate of Dallas High School, Class of 1973, and attended Luzerne County Community College.
During high school Fred was involved in the chess club, wrestling club and was the wrestling manager, he was also involved in the chorus and National Honor Society.
For many years he was employed in the Dietary Department at the Wilkes-Barre Veterans Administration Medical Center, Plains Township.
In his spare time, Fred had a passion for model airplanes and collecting railroad memorabilia. He was also a whiz on the computer and was involved with the book club.
Surviving are his wife of 28 years, the former Marian Kazio; sister, Karen Hynes, and her husband, Daniel, Dallas; brother; Ronald Robinson, Baltimore, Md.; nieces and nephews
Funeral services will be at the convenience of the family from the Metcalfe-Shaver-Kopcza Funeral Home Inc., 504 Wyoming Ave., Wyoming.
There will be no calling hours.
