Ann Marie Roslewicz, 78, of Greentown, Pike County, Pa., died Wednesday evening in Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. She was the wife of Raymond J. Roslewicz, with whom she celebrated 50 years of marriage in May 2012.
Born in Swoyersville, a daughter of the late Michael and Veronica (Smith) Vanyo, she resided in Greentown for the past 21 years. Prior to that, she lived in Hicksville, Long Island.
Ann Marie had been employed as a bookkeeper for a retail paint store.
She was a member of St. Rita's Parish Church and was active in the Red Hat Society, Women's Guild, Social Concerns Committee, Charismatic Prayer Group and was a Eucharistic Minister.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Ellen (Robert) Link, South Setauket, N.Y., and Christine Roslewicz, Islip Terrace, N.Y.; two sons, Raymond (Patricia) Roslewicz, Selden, N.Y., and Mark (Tara) Roslewicz, Islip, N.Y.; a step-daughter, Nola Rae Tadlock, Sulfur Springs, Texas; 11 grandchildren; three sisters, Veronica Schmidt, Lake Ariel; Margaret Worsley, Franklin Square, N.Y., and Midge Long, Dallas, Texas; and two cherished friends, Pam Banis and Mary Schaub.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at noon on Saturday, Feb. 23, in the Church of St. Anthony of Padua, Main Street, Newfoundland, by the Rev. Fr. Alfred Vito. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery, Duryea. Friends may call today from 4 to 7 p.m. and 10 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday in the Arthur J. Frey Funeral Home, 201 LaAnna Road, Village of LaAnna, South Sterling.
