Hartman, Alvin R.  
Alvin R. Hartman Alvin Richard Hartman, 85, of Taneytown, MD, passed away Tuesday, March 24, 2015. Born February 1, 1930 in Letterkenny Township, he was a son of the late Charles S.F. Hartman and Velva Kling Hartman. He worked most of his life as a heavy equipment operator. Mr. Hartman is survived by his brother, Marlin Dean Hartman of Chambersburg; three nieces, Stephanie L. "Mitzi" Galford of Taneytown, MD, Brenda J. Christ of Hanover, PA, and Stacey Swierzbinski of New Windsor, MD; a nephew, Steven D. Hartman of Taylorsville, MD; four great-nieces, Holly, Nicole, Jordan and Hannalee; and three great-nephews, Paul, Jr., Devin, and Jackson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Charles H. "Buzz" Hartman; a sister, Joyce Rosella Kriete; and his step-mother, Mary Carlin Neil Hartman. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday, March 28, 2015 in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA. Interment will follow in Lincoln Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9:30-10:30 AM Saturday at the funeral home. Hager, Frances L.  
Frances L. Hager Frances L. Hager, 84, of Chambersburg, died Saturday, March 21, 2015. Born September 6, 1930, at Mercersburg, she was a daughter of the late James C. and Elsie V. Burkeholder Robinson. Frances was first employed at the Mercersburg Dress Company. Later, she worked at Harrisburg Dairymaid, Chambersburg, and was last employed at Corning Glass of Greencastle, where she retired in 1994 following 15 years of service. She was a member of Ladies Auxiliary of VFW #6241 of Mercersburg. Surviving are six children, Wanda J. (Ronald) Cassner of Orrtanna, Connie D. (Robert) Butts of Ft. Loudon, William E. (Elizabeth) Hager of St. Thomas, Tammy L. (Brett) Wingert, Patricia A. Carbaugh and companion Brent Yohn, and Jeffrey L. Hager, all of Chambersburg; 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter. Also surviving are siblings, Betty J. Gipe, Martha L. Gress, Hazel I. Miller, Janet M. Rotz, Maynard (Sandra) Robinson, Darlene (Donald) Seville, Sharlon A. (Michael) Miller, Leroy G. (Julia) Robinson, Harold W. (Loretta) Robinson, Theresa J. Robinson. Frances was preceded in death by her husband, William E. Hager, who died in 2007; and siblings, Raymond C. Robinson and Donald Robinson. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at Parklawns Memorial Gardens, Chambersburg, with Mr. Robert Butts officiating. There will be no viewing. The family requests the omission of flowers. Contributions may be made to Frances's great-great-granddaughter, Emily Robison, who is battling leukemia. Kenneth R.G. Hess Kenneth R.G. Hess, 88, of Chambersburg, died Saturday morning, March 21, 2015, at Quincy Village. Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, March 25, 2015, in Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro. Burial will follow in Parklawns Memorial Gardens, Chambersburg. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday evening in the funeral home.
