Charlotte Rebecca Clopper

Charlotte R. Clopper Charlotte Rebecca Clopper, 82, of Chambersburg, passed away March 8, 2014, at Manorcare Health Services, where she had resided for the past four months. She was born July 25, 1931, in St. Thomas to Henry and Mary (Kriner) Scott. She was married to Walter (Gene) Clopper on August 10, 1952. She had been an inspector at the H. Shoenman Company for 49 years. She was a member of Zion Reformed United Church of Christ in Chambersburg. She was a graduate of St. Thomas High School, Class of 1949. She enjoyed being with family and friends at reunions, parties or breakfast gatherings. She especially liked traveling and seeing points of interest throughout the country; however, her favorite vacation spots were Cape May, N.J. and Williamsburg, Va. She is survived by her husband, W. Eugene Clopper of Chambersburg; two brothers, Robert (husband of Isabelle) Scott of St. Thomas, and Donald (husband of Beverly) Scott of Chambersburg; as well as a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant sister. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, Ltd., with the Rev. Jeffrey Diller officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Lincoln Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Heartland Hospice Services, 417 Phoenix Drive, Unit A, Chambersburg, PA. 17201; or to Zion Reformed United Church of Christ, 259 S. Main St., Chambersburg, PA. 17201. Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, 725 Norland Avenue, Chambersburg, will be handling the arrangements.
