Dennis "Hillbilly" Allen

Dennis "Hillbilly" Allen Dennis Allen aka Hillbilly 77, of Fayetteville, went to be with the lord on Thursday, June 12, 2014. Born May 11, 1937, in Kentucky he was the late son of Gordon and Maudie Harvey Allen. Dennis was originally from Breathitt County where he served in the United States Marine Coreand was stationed at Parise Island, South Carolina. Later in life he settled in Fayetteville, where he would retire as a machinist from Grove. Denise was a beloved member of the community an avid member of the McCconnellsburg American legion Post 561, Chambersburg Amvets, Marine Core and 40-8th. Dennis generosity and kind heart were an inspiration to his family and member of his community. Dennis is survived by his companion of 24 years: Darlene Helman of Pennsylvania; one daughter, Sabrina Pauly of Chicago; one step-son, Brian Helman; two brothers, Leon (Diane) Allen of Jackson, KY; Leonard (Martha) Allen of Chicago; three sisters, Juanita Zicarelli of Cleveland, Ohio; Christine (Raymond) Hudson of Lost Creek, KY; Janet (Willie Roy) Miller of Jackson, KY; two sisters-in-law, Jackie Allen and Martha Jo Allen; two grandchildren; one step grandson, Kendon Helman; and a host of nieces and nephews. Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, Gordon and Maudie Harvey Allen; two sister, Martha Allen and Wavalean Allen; and three brothers, Charles E. Allen, Alvin Allen and Corbit Allen. A private Ceremony will be held at Harvey Allen Cemetery in Clayhole, Kentucky, at the convince of the family.
