George B. Lehman

George B. Lehman George B. Lehman, 83, of Chambersburg, went home to be with the Lord February 12, 2014. Born in Letterkenny Township on May 4, 1930, he was the son of the late George B. Lehman, Sr. and the late Vada E. Reeder. He was employed at a sawmill and various plumbing positions throughout his career, with his most recent at Guilford Water Authority, working from 1964 until his retirement in 1995. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War January 1952 - December 1953. He enjoyed hunting and gardening. He attended the Bethel Assembly of God Church in Chambersburg. He is survived by his wife, Bessie Ervin Lehman whom he married July 28, 1951; three sons, Roger Lehman of Scotland, Michael Lehman of Fayetteville, and Dustin Lehman of Gettysburg; three daughters, Vada Young of Chambersburg, Cheryl Goshorn of New Franklin, and Linda Kerzan of St. Thomas; one brother, Ronald Lehman of Chambersburg, four sisters, Helen Kellhofer of Calif., Gail Rines of Chambersburg, Betty Greenhill of Mechanicsburg, and Patsy Kew of Shippensburg; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Funeral service is Tuesday, February 18, 2014, at 12 p.m. with Pastor Gary Kipe officiating. There will be a visitation one hour prior in the church and a visitation Monday evening February 17, 2014 at the W. F. Sellers Funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Military honors are provided by the Charles Nitterhouse VFW Post 1599.
