Lynn S. Elliott Sr.

Lynn S. Elliott, Sr. Lynn S. Elliott, Sr., 90, of St. Thomas, passed away February 17, 2014, at his home. He was born August 30, 1923, in Welsh Run to Charles and Dorothy Elliott. He was the widower of the late Jennie Gardner Elliott, who died in 2001. Lynn had been employed at Letterkenny Army Depot prior to his retirement in 1978. He attended St. Thomas Lutheran Church. Lynn had quit school when he was young in order to help his parents on the family farm. He loved his family and his friends at the Jolly Cork. He had a great sense of humor, and loved to make people laugh. He will surely be missed but never forgotten. He is survived by his four children, Dorinda Andrews of Shippensburg, Lynn S. Elliott, Jr. of Chambersburg, Kristina W. (wife of Ronald) Kaylor of Elizabethtown, and Robin L. (wife of Richard) Rizer of Chambersburg. He has ten grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a sister, Geraldine Etter of State Line. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Liane D. Burget and a brother, Carl Elliott. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, February 21, 2014 at Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, Ltd., with the Rev. Warren Hentzelman officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be may be made to St. Thomas Lutheran Church, 7061 Lincoln Way West, St. Thomas, PA 17252. Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, 725 Norland Avenue, Chambersburg, will be handling the arrangements.
