Mary Louise Bussell

Mary Louise Bussell Mary Louise Bussell, of Lebanon, passed away at her home on March 12, 2014. She was the wife of the late Ralph Bussell. Born on July 27, 1918, in West Grove, she was the daughter of Charles and Ethel Groff Miller. Louise was a graduate of Avon Grove High School, West Grove in 1936 and St. Luke's and Children's Hospital School of Nursing in 1939. She was a surgical nurse at Sacred Heart Hospital in Norristown, and an industrial nurse during World War II. Following her marriage, she became a partner in her husband's business, Valley Forge Arborist. Upon the sale of their business, Louise and her husband moved to Leon, Va. and later Amberson. She is survived by her sister, Katherine Hoopes, wife of Rev. Warren Hoopes, Lebanon; and numerous nieces and nephews. Louise was an avid reader and traveled extensively throughout the United States and Europe. She was fond of classical music, especially opera. Memorial services will be held on Sunday, March 23, 2014 at 2 p.m. in the Rohland Funeral Home, 508 Cumberland St., Lebanon, where there will be an hour of visitation prior to the service.
