Maude A. Nutter

Maude Anna Nutter, 75, of Hagerstown, Md., passed away, Monday, February 11, 2013, at her home, surrounded by her loving family. Born Sunday, March 28, 1937 in Hagerstown, Md., she was the daughter of the late Emmitt Charles Norcross Sr.and the late Isabel B. (Staubs) Norcross. She was employed with the Washington County Board of Education at the cafeteria at Western Heights Middle School, she was later employed and retired from Good Humor Breyers. She most recently was employed at Funkstown Firehouse Grill. She was a lifelong member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, where she was active with the Food Bank. She enjoyed playing bingo and cards with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, who were very special to her. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed. She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years Frank Eugene Nutter, Sr., two daughters, Julie Mackereth and husband Kevin and Stacie Morris and husband Wayne both of Hagerstown, Md.; son, Frank Nutter, Jr. and wife Stephanie of Louisville, Ky.; grandchildren, Justin Hoover, Jason and Jennifer Morris, and Zachary, Agnes, Eli and Owen Nutter, seven great-grandchildren; brother, Emmitt "Bub" Norcross, Jr. and wife Sandy of Williamsport, Md.; many wonderful nieces and nephews and cousins, several special friends and long time neighbor, Mary Stouffer. She was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters. Services will be held Thursday at 10:30 a.m., at the Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North, Hagerstown, Md., with the Rev. G. Stanley Steele officiating. Family will receive friends at the funeral home, Wednesday from 6 to 9 p.m. Interment will be at the Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, Hagerstown, Md.
