William R. Weaver Sr.

William Weaver, Sr. William R. Weaver, Sr., 76, of Mainsville, died on the morning of Friday, February 14, 2014, at the Chambersburg Hospital. He was born on February 16, 1937, in Mainsville, a son of the late William C. and Edna V. Burkholder Weaver. William was a U.S. Army veteran, enlisting in 1959 and honorably discharged in 1962. On December 26, 1961, he married Ms. Carolyn V. Bohner in Hagerstown, Md. William was a self-employed mason who at one time formed a company with his brothers called Weaver Brothers Builders, and was also a member of the Shippensburg Fish and Game. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Carolyn; three sons, William R. (Gail) Weaver, Jr., David L. Weaver, and Corey A. (Dorinda) Weaver, all of Mainsville; one daughter, Sabrina B. Baker of Harrisburg; four granddaughters, April, Molly, Zoe, and Mackenzie; three great-grandchildren, Laila, Jase, and Carson; two brothers, Ted and Eddie Weaver; one sister, Juanita Sprecher; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, William was preceded in death by two brothers, Ben and Don Weaver. His funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, February 20, 2014, at the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home, Inc., Shippensburg. The Rev. James O. Bolich will officiate. Interment will follow in the Parklawns Memorial Gardens. Viewing will be Wednesday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
