John J. Balint

John J. Balint, 88, of Fayetteville, died Friday afternoon, May 24, 2013, in the Chambersburg Hospital. He was born February 19, 1925, in Bridgeville, Pa. the son of John and Agnes (Dermotta) Balint, A graduate of South Fayette High School (PA) class of 1943, he also attended the University of Pittsburgh and majored in Business Administration. He married Eva Jane Nebrasky on May 17, 1952, and they made their home in the Pittsburgh area. John was employed by Black Box Corporation, retiring in 1991. John is lovingly remembered by his wife of 61 years and their three children, David Balint of Tulsa OK, Suzan Bullotta of St. Louis, MO, and Douglas Balint of Alexandria, VA. He also is survived five grandchildren, Andrew and Michael Balint, Nicole and Katelyn Bullotta and Brett Hurley and a great-granddaughter, Alyssa Balint. John served proudly in WWll (European Theater, 9th Infantry Division under General Simpson). He was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 1599. John loved the game of golf, starting to play at age 11 and continuing to play until age 80 he retired due to his declining health. He also liked to work in his yard and enjoyed coffee and an occasional donut with his Dunkin Donuts friends. Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, May 30, 2013, at 11:30 a.m. in Corpus Christi Roman Catholic Church, Philadelphia Ave. Chambersburg with Rev. Paul Theisz officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the William F. Sellers Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project P.O.
