Daley, Jr. Clarence Edward "Ed" Daley, Jr., 55, of 2573 Black Gap Road, Chambersburg, died at home, at 12:45 a.m., on Saturday June 1, 2013, after a 3 1/2 year battle with cancer. Born October 28, 1957 in Waynesboro, he was the son of Clarence Edward and Gloria (Blubaugh) Daley, Sr. Ed graduated from Waynesboro High School with the class of 1975. He was an honest, hardworking man who began working at the age of 14. Most recently he was employed as a machinist at Flowserve Corp, in Taneytown, Md. Prior to that, he worked 10 years at AMP Inc., in Waynesboro and many others including, Mack Truck and Frick Company in Waynesboro. Kathleen G. Daley felt blessed to become Ed's bride on June 22, 1996, in Scotland, PA. Ed grew up attending Blue Rock United Brethren Church in Waynesboro, and later attended World Harvest Outreach Church in Chambersburg. He was a proud member of the FFA, the Pigeon Raising Association, and Sea Ray Boating Association. Ed was a true worshipper of God, seeing His presence in all forms and thus lived his life respecting all of God's creation. He immersed himself in many hobbies, including: hunting, fishing, trapping, racing/homing pigeons, beekeeping, mushroom hunting, woodworking and gardening. He was especially passionate about boating, enjoying being on the Chesapeake Bay, Raystown Lake and the C&D Canal. He was generous and compassionate to anyone in need and was a committed provider to his family. In addition to his wife and mother, Ed is survived by his children and stepchildren: Jesse Menno Landis and his wife, Heather, of Chambersburg; Levi Preston Landis and his wife, Hannah, of Philadelphia; Ashley Rose Daley, of Waynesboro; Clarence Edward "Eddie" Daley III and his wife, Tanya, of Waynesboro; Lindsay Marie Landis, of Waynesboro. Ed is also survived by four grandchildren; two sisters: Cristy Wise and Jennifer Hoover, both of Waynesboro and his brother, Harold Daley, of Waynesboro. He was survived by many nieces and nephews. In addition to his father, Ed was preceded in death by his daughter, Angie Lynn Daley who died in 1995. A viewing will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, June 4, 2013 in Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St. Waynesboro. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
