Dorothy Louise Stoner, age 79, of Chambersburg, passed away March 8, 2013 at Green Ridge Village in Newville on what would have been her late husband's birthday. She was born December 23, 1933 in Middle Springs, PA to Paul and Bertha (Miller) Beaston. She was the widow of the late Joe R. Stoner Sr., who died in 2001. She had been a certified nursing assistant working at Menno Haven for about 25 years. She enjoyed crocheting and needle point and spending time with her family. orothy is survived by her four children: Janet L. Stoner of Chambersburg, Peggy (wife of Rocky) Friel of Waynesboro, Barbara Stoner of Chambersburg and Joseph R. (husband of Diana) Stoner Jr. of Mercersburg. She has five grandchildren: Jason Stoner, James Stoner, Tammy Friel Warne, Elizabeth Friel Sprecher and Randie Leasure Sweigart. She has fourteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Foor, three brothers; Alfred, Samuel and Stanley Beaston and a granddaughter, Roxanna Friel. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, Ltd., with Pastor Raymand McGee officiating. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:00 till 8:00PM at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. Interment will be held at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, 725 Norland Ave, Chambersburg, PA will be handling the arrangements.
